What do you think when you see someone

I notice - but that's about it.. Plenty of legitimate reasons for a person to need sunglasses indoors..:santa:

I guess I can understand celebrities whom wear sunglasses frequently; I recall an interview with someone (I forget who) that said that she wore then due to the frequent flashbulbs going off when she steps out in public.

I do have lightly tinted glasses since I sit in a box all day with glaring lights.

I would just wear the sunglasses and do your shopping.:goodvibes Who cares what other people think. And for the record, I don't really give a second thought if I see someone inside wearing sunglasses - it's their choice!:goodvibes

I usually don't think anything!

However, if I'm wearing them and notice someone else than I think they are probably suffering from a migraine just like me.

Crud see this is what I was afraid of. I had surgery on Tuesday and have a GROSS surgi strips all over my lower eyelid- bloody gross.

But I have shopping to do- and I was hoping that I could just slap on some big shades and hit the stores. Then I starting thinking about what I think when I see someone with them on.
Looks like I'll be staying home.

Don't let that stop you! Go, enjoy and dont worry for a second what anyone thinks. :cool2:

I don't think too much about it. At times, I've worn sunglasses indoors because for whatever reason, the light (especially fluorescent) seems exceptionally bright and it really bothers me. Not often, but it's happened.

I work in a bank & people come in all the time with sun glasses on & don't remove them. We are required to ask them to remove them, most comply but a few get upset or argumentative. Not sure why they feel they need to have them on but I always wonder.

I would wear them. I have prescription sunglasses and in WDW (or any sort of amusement park really), I wear them indoors all the time. I keep my regular glasses in a case in the stroller, so if I forget to switch them, I'm stuck with the sunglasses. Including inside dark attractions (like Mickey's Philharmagic, for example). It's not ideal, but I literally wouldn't be able to see the film/show/ride otherwise cause my eyes suck, so sunglasses it is!

And they are regular DKNY sunglasses with a prescription lens, so you can't tell that they are prescription at all. I guess people just think I am a drug addict, trying to avoid people, or one of the other things posted!

I wear prescription sunglasses and when I am popping in and out of multiple stores for quick shopping, I never stop at each place to change my glasses. Changing glasses every 5 minutes is how you end up losing them - trust me, I can't tell you the times I've had to run back somewhere because I left my glasses and they are so expensive to replace. Of course, I'm not talking about shopping at an indoor mall, but where you are in and out of the outdoors with sunshine.

And, there really are lots of reasons for folks to wear sunglasses inside - medical conditions, recent eye surgery, sensitive eyes, or even an recent eye exam where your eyes have been dilated.

I only think anything of it if someone is wearing sunglasses at night.

So go shop with your sunglasses and don't think twice.

I would think that it's none of my business, unless I worked in a bank where they were not allowed.

My assumption would be that they probably had an eye problem (sensitive eyes due to an eye appt, surgery or were sensitive to fluorescent lights) or because they wore prescription lenses and their regular glasses were at home or broken.

I didn't realize wearing sunglasses indoors considered rude!:confused3

That they forgot to change to their regular glasses before they left the car, cannot read the menu in the restaurant without glasses, don't feel like walking back to the car to get their regular glasses, so they will have to wear their sunglasses.

Or maybe that was just me the last time I went to a restaurant.
You've just described my behavior to a T.

There was a time back in college that wearing sunglasses indoors could have meant that I had a hangover.

DH wore them for two days on our cruise. When we were in Nassau the wind picked up and he got some dirt/sand in his eye. It scratched the eye and even after washing it out it was still red and irritated and still real teary. He felt better with the sunglasses on.

I wonder how they can see, and if it's bad for their eyesight (which I don't know the answer to). I see a lot of teenagers doing this so in that case I might also wonder if they are just trying to appear 'cool' (like it's a fashion statement). It doesn't bother me, but these are some things that might cross my mind.

Depends on the person's age and how they are dressed.
If it's an older person dressed conservatively, I'd probably just wonder if they had an eye appointment.

If it's a younger person and they are wearing "cool" clothes, I'd assume the glasses are part of their fashion statement.

When I see a woman wearing shades inside, I think several things:
is she covering a black eye?
Did she over pluck her eyebrows?
Did she have work done?
Does she have a migraine?

I wear sunglasses inside all the time. Even in places like target, the mall, ect.
