What do you think we could have seen?

We have just seen an animal in the field out to the back of our house and we are curious as to what you might think it could have been.

Unfortunately by the time I got a camera it had gone into the copse, but it was pure white, much, much bigger than a cat (about the size of a small tiger), had small pointed ears, a long tail almost to the ground. It moved just like a cat, and was definetly not a dog!

Both me and DH saw it through binoculars, he wonders if it could have been a Lynx? I have no idea, it was quite beautiful though.

Anyone have any ideas?
