What do you think of this resort-hopping idea?

So now I'm reading all these resort-hopping threads and it got me to thinking.

We're currently booked into PC on the AP rate from August 22 to 31, but I thought it might be fun to call the travel agent (Small World Vacations) and see if I can get the ap rate at AKL for the last few days of our trip. It's my birthday on the 27th so I thought I would maybe transfer on teh 26th and pray for the savannah upgrade. Would that be a hard hop to do? Does Disney move all your suitcases?

Also I thought that would be fun b/c then we could do a differnt pool, it would be easier to try BOMA, etc. I had no intention of doing this until I read all these threads! Now I'm kind of excited...

not at all. sounds like a great idea to me! as long as you can spend 3-4 days in one place before you have to move...it wont seem like you are rushed. and all you have to do is have your bags sent to the new resort and you barely have any work to do!!

What a great idea! I would definately call to see about availability, after all its your birthday! I hear they do upgrades at checkin but if your heart is set on a particular room type or view, I would go ahead and book it at the ap rate. Better to be safe than dissapointed. We will AKL in Dec o5!
