What do you think of this itinerary?

We're going in October for 7 days with our 3 year old. His first time. We bought a 5-day base ticket. The two travel days we'll be unable to visit a park due to flight times. So, I'm planning where we should go for the five days.

I'm thinking (due to his age) that we'll do the Magic Kingdom for three days, MGM one day, and AK one day. I think we'll skip Epcot this year and try that the next time we come (when he'll be 5 instead of 3).

I have never been to AK. Is there enough kid stuff there?

What do you think of that schedule? 3 MK, 1 MGM, 1 AK

By 5-day base ticket that means no park hopping I suppose?

The only thing that would make me sad about not going to Epcot is missing Illuminations, which is my favorite show. We spent a couple of days at Epcot with our then 20-mos old ds and he seemed to enjoy it. Of course he's not three so I don't know how that compares. He enjoyed the character greets there, fountains, boat rides at Mexico & Norway, Illuminations, the acquarium in the Living Seas and meeting Crush from Finding Nemo (well I probably enjoyed that one more than my 20 mos old did, but I think a 3-yr old would like it), to name a few things. I think if you could fit a day in at Epcot, you won't be disappointed, but that is JMHO.

AK has a lot for kids too- the jungle safari ride & trek, Festival of the Lion King show, Tarzan Rocks! show (I heard that this is going away though but I'm not sure when), Jammin' Jungle parade, character greets, in Dinoland - Primeval Whirl, The Boneyard (play area), to name a few. Also, when you first enter the park there is a whole area you walk through with all sorts of interesting and exotic animals to look at. One day at this park will definitely be enough though.
