We are on the DDP for the first time this year over the Xmas break and I made a few reservations for dinner on each of the ten nights we are at WDW. I thought I would share them here and see what you think. If you have any recommendations or comments, please post!

50's Prime Time Cafe
1900 Park Fare
Cape May Cafe - Clambake
Boma
Raglan Rd Irish Pub (wanted to go to DTD for two dinners, PH was full and Rainforest isn't on the DDP :()
Les Chefs de France
Mama Melrose
Liberty Tree Tavern
Yak & Yeti
Biergarten

What do you think? Are there any you would advise against, or others that I have missed? I'm glad I was able to secure reasonable times for my reservations considering the period when I am going, so I spose I will have to make any changes very soon!

Congrats on your stay at CSR! You will have a wonderful time. Didn't eat at Maya Grill when I was there, except for breakfast, wihch was buffet then and has since become regular table service.

Anyway, the one place I would reconsider is Chefs. I love French food and have eaten in some very good French restaurants (I live in the northeast of the US, not far from NYC). I also remembered two wonderful dinners I had at Chefs with my parents back in the 80's...:scared1: So for me to remember a meal for over twenty years, it must be pretty good, right?

Chefs was the worst meal we had during our week long stay at Disney this past February. I actually sent back my dinner, something I never do. The food just seemed like it had all been frozen and/or canned. Nothing seemed fresh. Service was fine, albeit a little aloof.

Taste is subjective, of course, so if you're really set on it, go for it. But we had a much better dinner at Tutto Italia (and I'm Italian!).

Looks like you picked some great places. I really enjoyed 50s Prime Time last year. The theming alone is adorable!! I was supposed to go to Ranglan Road last summer but cancelled at the last minute b/c CRT opened up. But I had booked it b/c I heard it was a lot of fun.

The other place I loved was CP. Yummy food and attentive characters!

Happy Eating!

Thanks for the info about Chefs, we really wanted to dine in the world showcase so perhaps we might choose another country, although the table service places in Future World also look pretty good!

If you don't decide to go with France I would think about Teppan Edo.. I have head only wonderful things about that place.. But the others all sounds really good.

I love Chefs for lunch......can't go to Disney without going there. i like the menu better than the dinner menu

Thanks guys, I think I might stay with Chefs since we are fans of French food and it is hard to get decent French food in Sydney, Australia.

I decided to change the Maya Grill to Boma since we are visiting Animal Kingdom that night and thought it might be fun to try, of course Maya Grill is considered a place to visit w/out an ADR so if we really don't want to go to Boma on the day we could cancel and go to the Maya Grill instead.

I've been thinking about 1900 PF after reading some mixed reviews, but I thought that even though it doesn't really interest us it would be good to try character dining just once so we know what it's like for next time. It's either this place, Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's and at the moment, it looks like we'll probably keep 1900 PF.

thanks so much for your help!

Great selections!

I'll be heading to Chefs for the first time in October so I have no opinion just yet.

Good choice switching to Boma. You'll have a fantastic and tasty dining experience.

We LOVE Raglan Road. We lived in Florida and have headed down to spend St. Patty's Day at Raglan twice. It's a must that I stop by for their breading pudding at least once a year. It's amazing tasty (not quite my grandma's but good). The atmosphere is a lot of fun. Try to get a seat one of the half-booth seats near the music. It's never too loud to enjoy a conversation at the table and it's fun to be near the Irish dancing. We've only gone for special events or weekens so not sure if there is entertainment every night. If you don't care to be indoors near the entertainment, the outdoor patio is quite nice.

@ Biergarten request to wait for a table against the rail on the upper level or on the floor. It's a terrible disappointed to be seated at the far end of the table away from the stage when you do not know your tablemates. It feels like you are eavesdropping on their conversation while you're just trying to catch a view of the dancing. Beers are quite expensive but tasty. See if they still sell the boot. Lots of fun and I had a good laugh watching my husband (then boyfriend) try to figure out how to drink out of a glass boot.

Ugh.... sorry for the typos spelling. Not quite awake yet this morning and I can't figure out how to edit my post.
