What do you think of my FP+ return time and wait time theory?

I have been wondering how many people get in line the MINUTE their window opens (which seems to be on the hour) as opposed to say, 1:25? With legacy, the times seemed a little more spread out from hour to hour; I'm remembering FPs with even hour:05, hour:10...etc, etc as the window opening time. Now it seems they almost ALL open on the hour. Therefore I am theorizing that ppl coming for their ride on the hour is quite possibly the worst time to get in the FP+ queue and we will try to go closer to the mid/end of our windows.

Thoughts? Discuss.

In my experience when we initially booked FP+ it gave us a lot of options on the hour, but as we tweaked and messed with it, we were getting times that came up in the 10 minute increments, such as 2:10, 3:40 etc. I can't specifically recall if we got any 5 minute increments, but it seems like we might have.

I also know that with legacy fp, we usually would get there when it first kicked in more often than not, but that on our trip with FP+ because we were "locked in" and it was a pre-set schedule not based on exactly how our day was going, we found that unlike in the past where we got there right there when it started, many times we were booking it over before the time ended, or at least in the middle of our time instead.

ktlm - don't you realize you are supposed to say, why yes summermac you are exactly right and you will not have to deal with any lines while using your FP+
LOL!

No seriously, thank you for your response. I haven't seen an odd time for any of FP+ choices, except at Epcot when we have them opening on the hour:05.

We actually had several "off-hour" times for ours. For some, we'd get in line right as the window opened, especially for Rnr when I waited 45 min in the fp line anyway.

When in stand by for Buzz a few times, we did notice that FP lines would get long on several 5 min increments.

There are 5 minute increments for FP+. I had a few.

I do think the ones on the hour tend to be a little more popular. I had several that were on the hour and the line to scan my band was always longer when I arrived on the hour than when I arrived at a random time. I didn't really notice any difference in wait times once I actually got through the tapstile though.
