What do you think of Coral Reef?

We had dinner there last week. The kids loved the atmosphere, which I admit was cool, but the food was way overpriced, even for Disney in my opinion. And the menu was limited. I got the chicken breast, and it was delicious, but not sure if we would go back. Is this place considered 'upscale' or something??

We ate there last month and I loved my grouper, the kids did not like their pizza and DH was not happy with his steak...the atmosphere is fantastic but I dont think we will be back for a very long time.

We (6 of us) were there in November and we really enjoyed it. We thought the food was good and the service was fair. I will say that it was loud in there, we were seated in the first booth on the bottom level all the way to the right. I think if I was seated in the middle of the restaurant it would have been a different experience for me.

I have to agree with most of the reviews so far for this restaurant, as the atmosphere is great and something I have not dined at before, but the food was just ok and definitely overpriced. Yes, It is definitely a more upscale place but not like Victoria & Alberts OR Shula's.

I was there in January and was very happy with our meals. I had blackened grouper and my daughter had the kid's mahi. Mine was delicious, my daughter's was the same as any place else in the world. I thought my daughter would have enjoyed the atmosphere a little more than she did.

I agree, we went once. I thought it was very over priced for just ok food.

We ate there for the first time in 2005 and the food was awesome, not to mention we had the best waitress, plus our kids loved the whole atmosphere. So for our 2007 trip my DILs came with us so we decided to treat them out to a nice dinner and took them to Coral Reef. The service and food was not that great, my DILs loved it, but my DH and I were very disappointed because it wasn't like it was 2 years before....however my girls spotted Mickey in a Diver's outfit swimming in the fish tank....that was the highlight of the evening. When we go back to Disney in March, we decided to try out other places for dinner and just skip it all together, instead we are going to R&C.

We liked it and were sad that we couldn't get an ADR for our next trip. We had excellent service (Brandon and Linda) the past two times we were there and everyone enjoyed the food.

We have eaten there twice as a family and had great experiences both times. My DH and DD ate there another time and loved it. I do agree the food is way over priced, but most of Disney's restaurants are. The Dining Plan fixes that issue though.

It is one of our favourite restaurants I agree it is a bit expensive but we are on holiday can't wait to go back.

I've never had a bad meal there, but it typically gets a lot of mixed reviews.

I was there with DH and DD in 2006 and loved it. The steak was fantastic as was the atmosphere. Our server was a bit of a wierdo though, but not bad.
