What do you think of Artist Point?

We also loved AP. I had the special that included soup, dinner and dessert (can't remember what it was called). The mushroom soup was really to die for. I was a little wary but ordered it b/c it came with the special and it was amazing. I also had the salmon which was great (I am not a huge fish lover either) and the delicious berry cobbler. DH had the spring rolls and buffalo. Everythign was delicious, great service, nice atmosphere. We are returning this trip. JJ

I really like Artist Point. I love the salmon and the berry cobbler. I've only eaten there twice, but both times we've had great food and service. There weren't many other people there both times either so it was quiet.

Yum! The picture of the berry cobbler convinced me! We'll definitely go in August. DD19 would love the salmon and I can see DH getting the buffalo. I, of course, will get the berry cobbler. :rotfl:

Thanks for all your reviews!

We had a really awesome dinner at AP in December 2004. We shared 2 appetizers - the bleu cheese/pear/walnut salad and the spicy venison springrolls.

For dinner I had the beef tenderloin which was melt in your mouth delcious and my friend SuAnne had the cedar plank salmon.

For dessert, (like we needed it) we had the French press coffee and the cobbler.

OMG, we could barely walk out of the place.

Thanks so much bicker!!!!

We are also going to go. That berry cobbler looks awesome and my DH wants to try buffalo!

DW and I eat at AP every trip as we find the food and the service to be top-notch. I've stayed with the salmon since my first trip and DW has jumped over the menu, having the buffalo sirloin and the filet, as well as the salmon. We are also big fans of the Penn Cove mussels, which they serve in a wonderful reduction.

The real bit of Disney magic from our list trip was when I was raving about the salmon to our server and she returned from the kitchen with two cedar planks and the recipe. I'm now able to get a temporary Artist Point fix until my next trip!

It's an excellent restaurant in my opinion, one that compares very favorably with other Disney signature establishments. Worth the price of admission.

I went there in Dec some friends came over from the Swan to meet us at WL as we had heard such good things about the restaurant.
The Food was ok but pricey, the service was the worst I have ever had at any Disney restaurant in or out of the parks. Actually as I'm writing this I'm wondering why I didn't complain at the time. I think we just all wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. it felt like the server just couldn't be bothered and really didn't want to be there.
We eat at approximately 2 table service restauants a day whilst in Disney and we have never encountered this before. We are staying at WL again this Oct but we weren't planning to eat at Artist Point again

I have eaten there several times, and the food and service were excellent each time. Its definitely one of the best restaurants at WDW.

This is just about my favorite restaurant. I had a filet mignon on my last trip that was perfect. My mom ordered the pan-seared scallops, I believe, and she is still talking about them 9 months later.

Everyone is right--the smoky Portobello mushroom soup is out of the world delicious. Even my son loved it (he's 11 and you don't think of many 11 year olds enjoying mushroom soup).

I have had the cobbler there twice and, personally, I don't care for it. It is not a "traditional" cobbler. More like some berries over a cake. It's not "juicy" or "gooey" like a normally like my cobbler to be. Now, don't get me wrong, I still ate the whole thing, but it was not one of my more memorable desserts.

Add to that the Frisee salad & dinner is complete for me! I had the Chef's Menu which comes with a smaller portion of the Frisee salad & Mushroom soup & the Berry Cobbler; a regular sized entree portion comes with it & I had the Cedar Planked Salmon which I thought was good, but not phenomenal. I'm certain this is because my DH & I often buy wild salmon during salmon run season. I guess I thought the cedar planking would add some type of unique/different flavor, but it really didn't. Next time I go, I'll opt for the Buffalo Steak or something else that I wouldn't normally eat at home. I actually found it to be way too much food for me (LOL) & as always, my DH helped me out! Like I said before, just the soup, salad, & dessert would be more than enough meal for me!

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner there and we loved it! The food was excellent, the service was great, not too rushed and not too slow, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere - also we're huge fans of WL, obviously :teeth:
