What do you think about "rant" threads?

I'm talking about the threads that specifically say "rant" in the thread title. Does it make you WANT to open the thread or AVOID it?

Sometimes it intrigues me...especially the "huge rants." I like to see what's so "huge" about it. Other times it just makes me want to

I will admit I like to write a good rant every now and then!

I don't have a problem with rant thread. And at least saying it in the title alerts people that it's a rant thread and a person has an idea before opening it. Sometimes I open them and sometimes not, but I find them a lot less annoying than the poster who is constantly posting fake questions and dilemmas. At least I hope they are fake. :teeth:

I don't mind them. Good way for someone to vent and at least they are alerting us!

I'd be more likely to open a thread that had "rant" in the title than one that had "hemorrhoids."

Curiosity gets the best of me when it comes to threads with rant in the title. LOL.

Depends on what kind of rant. MIL rants - yep, usually will open those - I can generally relate. ;)

Love to rant and love other people's rants. :)

The rant threads are sometimes interesting...the threads I don't like to open are the ones that say "I am sitting here in tears" or "I can't stop crying" and I think oh no and open it to find out that they are perceiving the weather to be too hot, too rainy, or perhaps have heard their hotel is sold out and now it will be busy or whatever...I find those annoying.

I don't have a problem with a good rant thread. We all need to get things off our chests from time to time.

I do have a problem with people who flame ranters. Most are not asking for opinions.. simply ranting.

I usually open them. I never know when someone elses rant is my rant too!

I read rants and write rants.

Hmmmmm say *that* 5 times fast! :cool1:

To rant or not to rant.... that is the question

;)

I like to read ranting threads. I find it reassuring that other people can get extremely annoyed by small things.

I also don't like it when people get flamed for ranting. You should be able to rant about having a hard day as a mom without having someone ask why you ever had kids in the first place.
