So we're driving to church the other morning and came up behind a fire truck, which isn't unusual except for that it wasn't painted in Milwaukee FD colors. As we got closer, I was able to snap these pictures:
Turns out it's a brand new Fire Truck for the FDNY, Ladder Truck #39. Doing a little research, I find out that it's a ladder truck serving the Bronx - I'm not sure if it was lost in 9/11 or not - but it's still a great reminder of everything the New York Fire Departments gave and lost for us on that day.
It must have just come from the Seagrave Fire Truck Company about 2 hours north of our city. As we passed the Fire Truck, we waved at the driver and he waved back.
