Going to Sea World in San Antonio, but I know they are all similar. Do you wear your bathing suits under your clothes for the water rides? Or do you haul the suits/towels etc in a bag around all day?

We have NEVER done a theme park/water park type place in the same day, and just wondered what to expect. Not even sure if we need to take towels with us?

Thanking you in advance

Great question and sorry I don't know the answer. We're going to SA also and I never even thought about needing towels. I think we'll probably wear our bathing suits under our clothes though. I hope someone has some great advice for us!

We leave this Friday (the 18th), so I hope the advice comes through soon!!!

I did go on the website, but did not get much information there. I am sure there are lockers to hold items, but the rides seem spread far apart, and would hate to keep going back to the locker all day long.

Would also love to hear about places to eat there. There is NOTHING on the website about eating except the "dine with Shamu" thing. Wonder what other places there are? Hoping there are some healthy options and not just chicken nuggets and hamburgers!!!

Have fun on your trip. I think we have decided to also do Schlitterbauhn (sp.?) instead of Six Flags, because of the heat.

I also hope to see some answers on this thread. We're going to SW Orlando in September for the first time and their website isn't the best!

The water park and the theme park are two seperate places, about two blocks apart with a major road between them. Not real easy to go between them--you'd probably want to drive anyway, so you could just leave everything in your car.

In Sea World, there's only one "water ride" and I've never gotten all that wet on it, no worse than Splash Mountain.

In Aquatica, there are towel rentals, but most just bring their own. There are changing rooms, too, if you want to be dry to hit the other park.

Actually, he's asking about the San Antonio park. At San Antonio, there is a water park INSIDE the Sea World park called "Lost Lagoon". =)

I didn't go into the waterpark area when I spent a week there in '98, but I do know that they do rent lockers at the park (both at the front gate and at the waterpark). Your best bet might be to rent a locker for your towels & bathing suits during the day. Personally, I hate wearing a wet bathing suit all day, so that'd be my recommendation.

=)

Well,

Just back from SA Seaworld and Six Flags. We wore our bathing suite under our clothes, and did not bring any towels thank goodness because we never made it to the water rides!!! The shows were wonderful, the two rollercoasters were Great (according th DH and DD's), they also loved Journey to Atlantis. They did get wet on JtoAtlantis, but not enough to need a towel.

The park is big, the shows are spread out so after a long day we were too tired to go to the slides etc. We really LOVED the park, and hope to see the one in Orlando also.

Feeding the Dolphins was the first thing we did and after 4 days of seeing SA, both myself and my DD16 and DD11 said that was the BEST part of the trip. It must be amazing to swim with them at Discovery Cove!! The Dolphin food is $5.00 for a carton of fish. The Sea Lion food was $4.00 for a carton of fish. Not sure why the price difference but...

If you are planning on doing Sea World for 2 days, than I would suggest the shows on one day, and the water park on the other day.
