Thanks for all the tips on this thread - I'm also looking for hints!
Mine are 5 and 7 - we're going to take a notebook and pencils, colouring book, and lollipops - small round ones so they don't last tooooooo long.
Also will take Nintendo DS each - they love the simple games and there are sooooo many for age 5 years to 10 years.
We will be flying Virgin from UK to US so they have seatback consoles - kids tv, movies, games - they probably won't want to get off the plane!!!! It will be their first flight EVER (nothing like immersion - over 9 hours over the ocean!!), so am expecting lots of looking around too.
