I am just wondering what types of things people take in the parks? Trying to decide how much I will really need so I will know what size bag to get. I have a 9 and 10 yo dd/ds.

For us it has changed a bit in the last 3 years (our son is 3 and daughter 1) but we still use the same small backpack. For us the musts are:

camera
extra batteries for the camera
sunscreen
rain ponchos (we usually go in the summer so rain is often a daily event)
a few ziplock bags (useful for wallets and cell phones if you get heavy rain or feel the need for a water ride)

with the little ones along we have added:
extra diapers
wipes
depending on the day extra clothes

beyond that it really depends on if there is something "extra" needed for a given day

In our family everyone who can wear a hip pack does so. "Mom is not in charge of your stuff" is my working mantra. Every morning before we go to the park the kids are responsible for choosing a water bottle, some healthy snacks, hand sanitizer, and whatever money I may have allocated for them. Once they are over 13, they are also in charge of carrying their tickets/DDP. So far, no 'incidents.'
Since our youngest DS12 is handicapped, I also carry a backpack for his diapers, wipes, change of clothes, drink, banana, et al, which I hook onto the back of his w/c.

camera (we have a small one my DH carries in a case attached to his belt)
film
extra batteries
small first aid kit
small kleenex
Antibacterial wet wipes (a must for wiping down CS restaurant tables)
purse size purell
autograph books and pens
itinerary with ADR confirmation #'s and times
a few ziplocs

camera, pull-ups, wipes, sunscreen, stroller, me, DH and DD, room key and drivers license. That's about it! We keep it simple!

We bring the epi-pen, camera, autograph books and pens, cell phones, tickets and whatever you are using for $, a small sunscreen and a lg. zip lock bag to put stuff in on the water rides or if we are caught in a down pour. With kids that age I don't feel the need to bring anything else. They do not need changes of clothes and if you need something else you can get it there. For example, DS9 got a rash on his legs from his wet shorts (mild allergic reaction) and we were able to get cream at first aid. We put it in one bag and took turns carrying it as we felt that was easiest.

If rain is part of the forecast, you may want ponchos as well. We only brought them when absolutely necessary as the are quite cumbersome.

Camera, ponchos, extra batteries, sun screen, change for penny machines and a small first aid kit!

drivers license, DVC mem card, room key and cash, camera and extra batteries....if going to a character meal we add autograph book and pen,

Small wallet, camera, extra batteries, autograph books, and pen - I also have to carry Benadryl, and EpiPen and inhaler for my son. My kids were ds5 and dd2 (potty trained) last trip. I never carry food, drinks, ponchos, extra clothes or many of the things that I read on her as being essential. I carry it in a small sling-type (Nike) bag.

I usually take a small bag, in it I have our passes, sunscreen, id, and camera (if I bring it). Sometimes I just put on sunscreen at the car, put passes and id in my pocket and go with no bag. We usually take our stroller with us too, but we don't like to put stuff in it, that way it can go thru the "no bag" line.

Typically since meals & tix are combined on KTTW cards anyway, only one wallet (mine - DW doesn't want to mess with it!, and the kids deal with their own money for souvenirs), and a stroller that carries my DD and a backpack the contains spray sunscreen, camera, extra batteries for camera, munchie snacks (granola bars, apples, oreos or similar cookies, water bottle), video camera, some quarters and pennies for the pressed penny machines. Autograph books/pens for the kids.

Thank you for mentioning the Epi-Pen. I will add that to my list. DD is allergic to bees and I would hate to be without in case she got stung.

Maybe we pack way too much...

stroller or 'leash', travel kleenex, small first aid kit, travel antibacterial wipes, travel antibacterial sanitizer, sunscreen, 1 cereal bar, 1 baggie of pretzels, camera, cell phones (in case of separation), room keys/tickets, hats/visors, and one bottle of water each (refill at drinking fountains throughout the parks)

We carry a small, bright pink (so it's easy to spot and keep tabs on if the group gets separated) slingpack. I make sure to bring a snacky item or two because my daughter is 3 and sometimes it's just plain hard for her to wait until my husband and I are ready to eat, so a snack will hold her over just fine.

Happy Packing!

We carry 1 backpack and it is hooked to my 4 yr olds power wheelchair.

We carry a small collapsable cooler with water bottles (usually 4ish) in the bottom.

Outside pocket: spare set of undies and shorts for all kids (water rides are irritating and my 4 yr old *could* have an accident, but she never has).

Cool air water mist and a light jacket (DD has problems controling body temp)

Water bottle for service dog, potty baggies and treats for him.

Sunscreen, hats

Room keys (with credit card, DDP)
Camera (both usually in my pocket)

Everything must fit in backpack. We don't like to carry extra items.

I take my Passporter Passholder with everyone's KTTW cards in it along with a debit card and a bit of cash. DD's 14 and 18 carry nothing, and the most DD4 would carry would be an autograph book.
When we get to the gate, DH stuffs my Passholder in his pocket(we have a thin camera that also fits into my passholder or DH's pocket) and we walk right thru without having to go thru security. I love it!

I take DH and DS. :rotfl2:

Other than those two, we take as little as possible:

Camera w/ extra batteries and memory card - in DH's pocket
Each person carries an emergency poncho in their pocket
I carry all the park passes, room keys, etc in a holder on a lanyard (Walmart)
Our itineries are printed onto 3 X 5 cards, laminated and attached to belt loop w/ a caribiner
Sunscreen stick - fits in pocket
We don't carry water bottles. We get free cups of ice water.

My biggest decision is always what tote bag do I want to carry in the park!:rotfl2:

The free ice water is good. But sometimes, we don't want to stand in line. So DH loves cargo shorts anyway...which is perfect for holding a water bottle.;) I also take just a few (6-8) single serve lemonades so the tap water isn't so gross! Saves time and cash!
