What do you splurge on that's just for you?

Books! I spend way too much money on books. If I don't get rid of some of my books, the house is going to collapse! The local library loves me at book sale time, and I've started mailing some books to my BIL serving in Iraq, I guess they have an informal "lending" library for interested folks.

Books! I love books, magazines, etc. But...I have put myself on a budget and will not be buying as much or as often. I need to stay out of Barnes and Nobles!

My hair is color is dish washer blond-yuck, and it needs to be highlighted every 3 months. I love the bleached hi-lights, but I have to fight tooth and nail with the hair dresser to give me that color. Last Fall she gave me just soft blond brown and it looked like nothing, it was exactly the color of my hair. Grr. I had to pay $50 for my hair color.

i am so bad about spending $$ on myself. for some reason it's okay to buy a $25 christmas present for the 2nd cousin i never see, but i feel pangs of guilt about buying myself a $3 magazine :confused3 i have to admit though, i am quite a bath and bodyworks junkie. and once or twice a year i'll poke my head into a music/video store and run out with a full bag....last time i ended up with a hall & oats CD and dvds of Napoleon Dynamite and Spongebob Squarepants Season 3 :teeth: of course right afterwards my DVD player died :sad1: so i guess i'll be splurging on a new one of those this week as well  ouch!

trader joes has a tiramisu flavored gelato they sell that i'll admit to indulging in also....

Spa treatments! I get a one hour massage and a European facial once a month.

Definately getting my hair colored. I hate forking over that $150 every 4-6 months, but since DH spends a ton of dough on hunting and fishing I don't feel guilty at all.

My biggest splurge allll for myself is getting my hair straightened every 6 months. It's a little expensive but it's the best treat I've ever given myself. ::yes::

BOOKS and WDW. I have a gift certificate for a massage (never had one) and a pedicure/manicure (never had either one) so I may have a couple new indulgences soon.

Well, since I paid for my DD to go to beauty school, I get hair cuts, highlights, color, manicures & pedicures for free!! So my indulgence that is only for ME is my Bon Jovi addiction....CD's, camping out with my buddies for tickets, road trips to concerts.....we recently did 5 concerts in 10 days....loads of fun!!! Besides WDW, this is something that makes me feel like a teenager again! :rotfl2:

Makeup, I have a lot of makeup. Now I have found BE so I have to get more of that ::yes::

And WDW!

Vacations. I had my first trip to WDW and Universal in October (an addict was born) and I've decided that I'm going to be a good girl all year so that once I hit that Florida state line this December I can be the crazed vacation monster I am. :hyper:

Not worrying about anything other than making a parade or ADR on time until I leave Florida, that's the best splurge. :cloud9:

Overnight spa vacations. :teeth:

I meet up with my friends from college at various spas. A couple of us went to Lake Austin Spa at Thanksgiving and three of us are going to a spa in Santa Monica in April. We usually don't go that often, however....maybe once every 2 or 3 years.

I met some California friends at Lake Austin Spa last year. They go every year to some place new, but this was the first time I got to go.

My big indulgence is the condo that I bought in New Orleans (10 days pre Katrina). I LOVE not ever having to worrry about trying to get a hotel room here again.

Ninety percent of the New Orleans that I love is still here - a little battered but still here.

Two things.....two weeks at WDW in January every year and lampwork beads bought on Ebay that I make bracelets out of.

I have to add to my list: Yankee candles, Mary Kay, massages, Haagen Daaz ice cream, cds.....

I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have started this thread - I didn't realize how spoiled I am. LOL

Nothing specifc, I just get what I want. DH has convinced me that it's ok to splurge on myself and not have any guilty feelings when I do it. :teeth: So, I obey the man! :worship: :teeth: :teeth:

Ohh, I just found a new one! The BE makeup is to die for! It's pretty expensive (for a girl who grew up with drugstore makeup ;) ). Books, massages, more books, and Starbucks Mocha Frap Light. ::yes::

I very rarely splurge on myself! I'm a giver!! :teeth:
But I do spend a ton of money getting my hair colored/highlights and cut!
Costing between $150 & $180 a pop! And I also get that guilty feeling after leaving the salon. But if you add up what DH spends on his cigarettes......than I don't feel guilty anymore! ::yes::
