So, I had an interesting discussion the other day about the proper way to sneeze. My friend, a doctor, said that when you sneeze, you should always sneeze into your arm at the elbow fold. I always sneeze into my hand.
My elbow fold unless I happen to have a tissue in hand. It puts a huge hiccup in the chain of transmission whereas sneezing into hands and then touching something that someone else will touch is a guaranteed way to spread your germs.
I always sneeze into my right sleeve, usually between my elbow and shoulder. I guess I should make an effort to wash my right arm better in the summer when I go sleeveless.

And I can't imagine blowing snot onto my elbow or sleeve. If it's just a little one, maybe, but for big wet sneezes I always use a Kleenex in my hand and then wash really quickly. That kind of mess all up my arm? No thanks.
I try for my elbow or shoulder. I rarely have enough notice to get a tissue. And sometime they come on so suddenly and violently that I don't have time to get to my elbow.

It's funny how everyone on this thread is saying elbow (me included) but I almost never see people sneeze into their elbows in real life. I wish 90% of the people I saw sneeze sneezed into their elbows.

I chose other - if I can grab a tissue in time (have them handy in purse) that's a first choice - otherwise, open top shirt or jacket, lift the edge, sneeze there - last resort into my upper arm shoulder area - 'never just into my hand'!!!! Lots of room there for anything to escape!
Am at Disney now, have not noticed very much coughing or sneezing, thankfully! Maybe one reason is there aren't the number of families with children here (relatively) that there are at busier times. Still dh & I religiously use hand sanitizer after each ride, and before meals as well as washing with soap whenever possible.
We also do not touch railings or our faces, but contact with rides is inevitable - know this is impossible for kids to do. So far, in all our years of coming to Disney, have never caught anything (knock on wood, LOL). Hope our luck continues.
Elbow. Before I had kids, I have no idea what I sneezed into. But their daycare taught them to sneeze into their elbows and I've been doing it ever since.
