What do you serve for breakfast either at Christmas or the day after?

We are looking for a new idea this year to feed us two and my SIL & MIL.

Any suggestions?:goodvibes

Usually nothing because we eat leftovers the day after the Holiday. I happen to love ham. I will be one making day after Christmas. Christmas morning nothing. Because we eat Christmas dinner at one.

Monkey bread and fruit salad, juice and coffee.

Well for Christmas eve (i know you wanted Christmas day or day after sorry!) we have Zweibelkuchen which is german for onion cake. But its more like a quiche but with a softer flakier crust that is well cake like. Its has bacon, swiss cheese (we add sharp cheddar as we love cheese) and onions in the scrambled egg portion...it's mega yummy... and we eat it with fruit salad

For Christmas day we bake a ham the night before and we cut it up and fry it and it has the glaze from baking with eggs over easy or scrambled eggs, with toast and homemade hashbrowns that we indulgently deep fry haha... that is accompanied by lots of coffee, orange juice, water (if you're me ) and egg nog!

The family will be at our house by 11:00 Christmas Day. We are starting out with breakfast: an egg casserole and baked french toast (both made the night before, then baked in the morning), ham, sausage links, cinnamon rolls, two kinds of muffins, a fresh fruit bowl (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, grapes, fresh pineapple, blueberries), bananas, coffee, milk, OJ and Mimosas. :)

My kids usually eat mostly junk :rotfl:. We also eat oyster stew. It was a tradition in my DH's family. I've grown to love it, but thought it was weird at first :goodvibes.

Ooh, great idea! We are looking for something easy and delicious. I think Costco sells ready made quiches-maybe we will pick up some and serve with a fruit salad.

Christmas morning we usually make gingerbread waffles and bacon. :lovestruc

Yum! What is your recipe for the gingerbread waffles?

Wow this is so going on our menu- sounds yummy. I found a recipe on Food.com that sounds like what you are describing.

Could someone kindly post a recipe for Monkey Bread. I had saved one from these boards but our computer crashed last week and we've lost everything. It was one that you make the night before. It also needs to be made from scratch as I'm in Australia and don't have access to some of the ready made rolls etc that some of you use.

thanks heaps :worship:
