What do you see from Poly balcony lagoon view?

Trying to decide wether or not to pay for a lagoon view for our 12/04 trip. Seeing the lagoon does not mean that much to us but if the views of the MK, castle, and fireworks are good, we will book a lagoon view.
Secondly, are the MK views from Hawaii (concierge building) a lot better than the MK views from the other longhouses that abut the lagoon (ie. Tahiti)?

You can see the MK fireworks & castle from some (Not positive about all) lagoon views.

Here's a pic from a room I had that wasn't technically a lagoon view, because the view is sort of restricted, but it might help you get an idea. (This is from the Aotearoa building)

You can see the castle (if you kind of squint) towards the middle of the picture, as well as the monorail. I'm sure you get a much better view from a room that actually *is* a Lagoon View, though

If you want a good view of the MK and castle, you will be better off at the GF or Contemporary. THe poly is too far from MK to really get a good view (castle is tiny from Poly). HOwever, the Poly does have some beautiful and serene lagoon views of the GF, Contemp and the boat traffic.

Any yes, the views from Tahiti IMO are the best at the Poly, less obstruction than the other buildings (like Tuvalu, etc)

The Poly lagoon view rooms will have a view of the water in the lagoon. Some will have views of the Grand Floridian or the Contemporary or the MK, from others you may only see water.

If you want to be sure you have an MK view, the Concierge Lagoon View rooms all face the MK. I think booking a Concierge Lagoon room is the only way you'll book a room and be sure of the building you'll be in. Your chances of seeing the MK from your room there are very good... although you could find a tree blocking your line of sight even there.

We had a LV room in Tahiti on the 3rd floor. Yes, the Castle was tiny, but the view as a whole was fabulous! We liked just sitting on the balcony watching it! You could see the Castle, GF, Contemp, and the tippy top of WL. We also saw the monorail making its way around the lagoon and the boat from TTC and WL. The Electrical Water Pageant was great..it passed right by! We also enjoyed the view of the fireworks from MK..it gave us a totally different perspective. IMO, the Poly LV was well-worth the $.
