What do you Rope Drop at DCA when you have EE and LLMP?

Just wondering which rides people are choosing to rope drop at DCA on an EE day when you also have LLMP? In DL, we rope drop the non-LLMP rides in Fantasyland. But in DCA, it seems like most of the rides for EE are also available with LLMP. We rarely ride attractions more than once a day, but I suppose we could do Webslingers or TSMM twice. I was thinking that maybe we could rope drop Webslingers and then line up for RSR so that we don't have to purchase it later. Any other suggestions for making the best use out of EE and LLMP at DCA?

In this situation, my daughter and I rope drop Guardians of the Galaxy, usually ride twice. Then we hit Webslingers just as the park opens to everyone and it's practically a walk on. The RSR queue will fill up during EE, so I wouldn't plan on having a short line if you don't rope drop it. My daughter is old enough that we use the single rider line for RSR and we usually don't have to wait longer than about 20 minutes after we're done with Webslingers. Then we head to Pixar Pier and enjoy shorter lines until the park's been open for about 60-90 minutes and things get busier. This is when we start using LLMP.

We start in Avengers Campus with Guardians of the Galaxy and Webslingers because we can hit two big attractions without a lot of transit time. From there we go to Cars Land or Monsters Inc. We do not like to rope drop Radiator Springs Racers, because a whole lot of people seem to have the same idea. Unless you are at the front of that pack, there still seems to be a decently long wait. That hour or two after park opening is so precious that we like to spend it hitting a lot of attractions and just resign ourselves to wait for Radiator Springs Racers later in the day.
You could start with Webslingers like you mentioned and then head over to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree so you can get a peek at the Radiator Springs Racers line. Then you can see if it makes sense to jump in line or not. If not, you still get to ride with Mater and see Cars Land in the morning light.
Not sure when you are visiting, but as I am writing this, Toy Story Midway Mania is not on the Early Entry list, and you mentioned that as one of your ride- twice attractions. So that would narrow your choices!

We start with Soarin' then do Guardians, then get in line for RRSR (not part of EE, but sometimes they start early). Then we hit up Incredicoaster, TSMM etc..

Me and my oldest ride the Incredicoaster over and over and over. That's one of our favorites. Will ride it 3 or 4 times in a row. After that it varies where we go next. Sometimes we hit Guardians and Webslingers before the regular park crowd rushes in. Other times we'll go get in line for Radiator Springs Racers.

But when the early entry time ends, it's a wall of people coming into the park for Radiator Springs Racers, Guardians, and Webslingers. We were at DL a couple of weeks ago and the ride that was by far the most popular with the longest lines consistently all day long was the Radiator Springs Racers (for both parks).

If you are in the park for EE are you able to get ahead of the crowd for Radiator Springs Racers?

Yes you are: but a couple things to keep in mind. A lot of other people during EE are going to also be heading to RSR que. So you'll spend your entire 30 minutes (if things go well!) waiting in a line. And... you run the risk of RSR not opening at regular park opening which happens quite often.

Personally we use our EE to jump on rides like Guardians, Webslingers, Tow Maters, etc and then maybe we'll jump into the back of the line at RSR just before park opening.

Thanks for the advice! Would we have time to ride those 3 rides before park opening? If we got into the Radiator Springs Racers line just before regular park opening would it be quite a long wait already?

RunnerMom71 is correct.

RSR is not open to ride early entry but you can get in line. During EE the single rider line isn’t available for lining up but the regular group line is. And yes while we were their four days, I think RSR only opened once on time at 8am. Lots of folks standing in line for it at 7:30am and then more folks at 8:00am only to learn that at 9:00am it’s “temporarily closed” with no rides started.

That’s why we do EE rides for Incredicoaster, Web, and Guardians then get in line for RSR around 7:58am just before the 8:00am crowd shows up. If it’s not open at 8:05am then it’s usually means it’s down for a while.

My wife likes Maters Junkyard and Soar’n and not the coaster or Guardians. So it’s Maters and Soar’n for her.

Anyways, you asked what others do for EE. Wouldn’t say our approach is a best practice. It’s what we like. Hope this helps.

Yes we typically get in 3 rides in DCA during EE! But we try to keep them close by in the park to be efficient. But we are also there lined up ahead of time for EE to take advantage of this limited benefit (sure do miss the 1 hour Magic Mornings...)

I know right! With one hour it felt like you could get half a day's worth of park rides done in an hour.

But with park cost savings and cast members working long hours, perhaps the 30 minute later start help out the cast members.

This depends on how quickly you walk, how close the rides are to each other, if they all open at 7:30am and are not down for EE, and if the rides are fully operating (GOTG sometimes is only running one or two elevators for EE, which slows it way down). My DDs and DH usually try to ride GOTG twice, and I can usually get 2 Webslingers in while they do that. If GOTG is cooperating, they get done with enough time for us to rush over to RSR and get at the end of the EE line (but ahead of the regular entry folks). I think that even if you are at the end of the RSR line for EE (but ahead of regular entry), your max wait will still be less than 30 minutes (often 15 minutes), which is shorter than it will be for the rest of the day. This is as long as RSR opens at park opening…. The last few times we have done this, they have started RSR a few minutes before 8am, so that has been fun!

Even with just normal rope drop you do not need LL if your rope dropping it

Most rides are easy to get on in the morning with the exception of GOTG and Racers

Usually the Avengers Campus rides. We'll get the first LLMP for Incredicoaster or Soarin and use single rider for Radiator Springs Racers.

Arrive at the park entrance 20 minutes before the EE starts
Guardians first. Book LL for TSM first to fish for the MEP.
Try to get in line for Racers 10-15 minutes before park opening.
Racers at opening, Luigis Rollicking Roadsters (not a LL attraction), Maters (not a LL attraction), and head to Pixar Pier.
