what do you put on your steaks? if anything.

Actually, I don't actually use the flank steak like Boma does. I usually get the sirloin when it's on sale, beat the tar out of it & then marinate. I guess many people wouldn't marinate those either, but I've never been a big fan of beef in any form. This changes the taste enough to satisfy me & the family loved it at Boma so they don't complain.

It's more of a paste/rub than an actual marinade - meaning it's not soupy. I don't always marinate for the full 24 hours, but it's best if you let it sit for at least 5 hours.

Just in case you don't have it . . . .

FLANK STEAK MARINADE
from Boma - AKL

for 3lbs of steak
1/4 c Ginger
2 Tbl Garlic
2 Tbl Sugar
3/4 tsp Cardamom, ground
1/2 Tbl Coriander, ground
3/4 tsp Turmeric, ground
1/2 Tbl Thyme
3/4 tsp Crushed Pepper
1/2 Tbl Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 c Soy Sauce, low sodium

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Add flank steak and marinate for 24 hours.

Nekked when I order a steak when we go out. If I cook steak on the grill I just put salt and pepper on them before throwing them on the grill.

A-1 if it's dried out and needs something. Usually when I order steak, I order it marinated in something. I like Hawaiian marinades the best.

Two of my favorites:

Tiger seasoning & a bit of GrillMates Montreal seasoning

& the other:

2c.7up
2/3c. brown sugar
1/2 small bottle soysauce
Mix and marinade.
(Actually, I like this best on chicken but it is good on steak also)

If I cook a steak at home, I usually just put a dash of salt on beforehand. I like it medium/medium-well. I might eat a bite or 2 with A-1 or Lea & Perrins steak sauce, but I mostly eat it plain – unless it’s prime rib, then I love dipping it in the au jus.

Medium rare - salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.. :)

Well first my steaks have to be 100% well done... not a smidge of pink for me! Then I prefer season salt or pepper. Otherwise I don't put anything else on mine.

Worchestershire Sauce. And I prefer French's. :)

We like Italian Dressing you only marinate it a couple of hours.
also Montreal steak seasoning and A-1 marinade. We love filets and porterhouse but for the lower fat we eat sirlion. I eat mine med. DH eats his Med. well. Sometimes I eat A-1 on my steak , but if its a good steak no sauce of anykind. We had porterhoues Friday night, for DD Birthday (no sauce good steak).:D
