What do you put on your hotdogs?

I have two favorite ways of preparing my hotdogs:
on half of my dogs I put only relish and chopped onions
and on my other dogs I put ketchup and mustard with chopped onions.

Any other way, and I probably won't eat it.

My wife always puts mayonaise on her hotdogs (along with chile peppers if they are available) :scared:

How do you like your dogs?

Eeek, KETCHUP. And only ketchup. I'm very picky when it comes to condiments.

Usually ketchup and sometimes with onions. Occasionally, I'll have mustard just to mix things up a little.

Any of the following that are available:
ketchup, mustard, chopped onions, coney island sauce, or celery salt.

I don't see the celery salt often AT ALL. I don't know if its a French Canadian / Woonsocket, RI regional thing or not. I just know it was NORMAL in my house growing up and I still like it.

BUT MOST IMPORTANT, is the right kind of "hot dog". I prefer Kayem Old Tyme weiners (with the skin & linked together from the deli dept) on a New England style hot dog roll (steamed).

If all possible hot dog condiments are available to me, I will use ketchup and chopped onions. Chopped onions aren't always available though, so in those cases it's just ketchup.

Ketchup, mustard and onions. Sometimes I will also add Miracle Whip and rarely some tomatoes. Oh, and sometimes I'll melt a slice of cheese on top before adding the condiments.

It varies on my mood. I don't eat hog dogs often, so when I do eat one I make sure it's dressed right! :thumbsup2

I like the hot dogs on Casey's Corner.

Ketchup only. And they are best served with a side of plain potato chips, like original Lays or Golden Flake Thin n Crispy. :thumbsup2

mustard, relish, sauerkraut, and onions.....the true American way:banana: :rotfl: .....with a side of corn on the cob:banana:

Heinz Ketchup and sauerkraut (preferably homemade)

With a side of pierogies…..even better!

Celery salt is a major component in my favorite variety hot dog, the Chicago style dog! Yellow mustard, bright green sweet relish, chopped onions, 1 kosher dill pickle spear, a couple tomato slices, some serrano peppers and a dash of celery salt...ummm!

Of course, in a pinch, some yellow mustard, a little chopped onion, and sweet relish do just fine...and never ever ketchup!!

cheese and chili, no kethcup, no mustard, just cheese and chili.

Gotta have kraut and onions and relish and ketchup loaded on!
Also love coleslaw on my dog!:hyper: :hyper:

Any Chicago-style hot dog fan knows that ketchup on a hot dog is an abomination.;)

A hot dog should have:

Mustard
Relish
Onions
Dill pickle wedge
Sport peppers
Celery salt

I personally don't like tomatoes on mine, but YMMV. Cucumber slices add a gourmet touch, however.
