What do you order at Tutto Italia?

I'm not sure if it's still on the menu but they were cheese filled pasta purses and OMG they were delicious!!! My father ordered them and me and my step mom pretty much ate his whole meal. We went for lunch when they had just redone the menu and the cheese purses weren't even on the menu yet and the waiter said the chef wanted people to try it. I know later it was officially added. Since I wasn't that hungry I just had the prosciutto and melon and it was fabulous. Some of the best prosciutto I've ever had. And I'm pretty picky! lol

I've eaten there three times so far and have another ADR there May 15th Can't wait!:goodvibes My favorite meal so far was from my first visit. I had the salmon with lemon sauce and capers appetizer, fish with clams for the entree, and the zabiglione with berries and chocolate sauce for dessert. Everything was soooo good!

Oh yes, the tomato/mozzarella appetizer and the appetizer platter for two is also very good. They also have a ricotta cake that is absolutely delicious. My mom had some pork dish that she said was really good. I was too busy eating my own to pay much attention to hers though.

OT: I'll be eating there again in May, Oct, and Dec. Not that I like it all that much you understand.:rotfl: It's one of the few restuarants that has become a repeater every visit.

The Penne caprese is delicious! The motzerella is soo fresh and so good! You guys will love it. The sauce is the best though.

Yum that Belini looks good. what is in it?

Hey Michelle, I tend to be very picky about lasagna. I don't like chunks of veggies and stuff...can you tell me was it more of a smooth/non-chunky lasagna or was it filled with veggies?

Thanks!
Jim

I hear you! There were no veggies or chunks...just a nice meat sauce!

we loved Tutto, it's our new favorite. the pork chop had the best sauce on it and the mashed potatoes w/ the sauce was outstanding!

the dessert sampler was good but we both prefer the coppeti bosco. the lasagna was good too but we liked the pork chop better. i loved the veal ravioli, such a delicate flavor. mmmmmm

the antispasto platter was great, anything with the fresh mozzarella is a winner, that fresh is sooo amazingly good.

enjoy!

From our 12/2008 trip to get in the Christmas spirit:

DW had the Salmone al forno - baked salmon filet over fagiolini beans with a fresh tomato relish - $29.

Yours truly had the Fish Filet "all'acqua pazza" - with clams, tomatoes, capers and olives - $34. Sorry about the messy plate. I just had to sample some before taking the picture.

Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Well - - that may be in part because we washed them down with a bottle of Rosa Regale. We'll definitely be back during our next trip in November.

We have eaten there twice.

The things we have had:

1. Lasagna al Forno with meat ragu, bechamel and parmesan - This was delicious...one of the best lasagnas I have eaten. Not to dry, not to saucy, not to cheesy. :goodvibes
2. Tagliolini con Granchio, Pomodorini Alle Erbe - tagliolini pasta topped with crabmeat, sweet tomato and garlic - This was also excellent. It was really hot the day we ate here so I wanted something 'lighter' - this was perfect. The crabmeat was super sweet and fresh and the sauce on the pasta was tasty but light enough.
3. Penne Caprese with crushed tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil - DH had this and loved it. Everything was fresh and yummy.
4. Spaghetti - veal meatballs and pomodoro sauce - DH also had this. He liked it a lot...didn't love it...no complaints...but he said he would probably try something else next time.

DESSERTS::lovestruc
1. Copetta Sotto Bosco - berries, zabaglione cream gelato and chocolate sauce - absolutely fabulous. YUM YUM YUM.
2. Mocha Tiramisu - mascarpone cheese, espresso coffee, savoiardi biscuits and chocolate - this was just ok for us...:confused3 It is normally one of our faves but this was still sort of frozen so it didn't have the nice creamy texture that we love.
3. Cannoli - crisp pastry filled with sweet ricotta, chocolate and candied orange - Fabulous...I love a good cannoli...but I have never had a $12.00 cannoli before ;) but these really were delightful.

HTH :goodvibes

The bellini has a little bit of peach puree in the bottom topped with Prosecco (an italian champagne). SO good!!! I can just taste it now!! Can't wait. Its our first meal on our May trip for my birthday dinner and I'm counting down the days!!

As the bird in Nemo said, "Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine!" That's my favorite dish! Mine had alot more clams around it though. I ate there shortly after they reopened as Tutto Italia and that platter was completely surrounded with clams. It also had alot of black olives on it. That fish was sooo good--light and flaky. Can't wait until May 15th, when I get to order it again.

The last trip, Oct 08, DH had the cavaelli with ground sausage tomato sauce and I had the pumpkin and sage raviolis in a brown butter sauce. Both were fantastic

Hi aubriee - FYI, the dish is still pretty much as you remember. In my post I stated I had already dived into the plate before taking the picture. Actually, there were several empty clam shells already on the side plate (out of the photo) and if you look closely at the photo, you will note that the back half of the filet is somewhat missing. It's still the fantastic dish you remembered.

Thanks for reassuring me.:rotfl: Remembering how good that dish tasted, even with about 2/3's of the clams missing and half the fish missing, I could still dive into it. Again, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, come May 15th.:cloud9:

This thread is makin' me wanna make another ADR for Tutto Italia, I've already got one.

ETA: Now I've got 2 ADRs for Tutto Italia. :lmao:
