What Do You Love The Most About Your Kids?

I was reminded again today of how lucky I am to have DS in my life. I love so many things about him but I think I love his smile the most. It always makes me feel better no matter how bad and/or stressful my day has been. You just can't look at that smile and not smile back.

What do you love the most about your kids?

dd #1 her confidence, strength, intelligence. Her sense of self. Her sense of humor and her kindness,

dd#2 her gentleness, her intelligence, her compassion, her kindness, her sassy attitude,

both girls are talented in music and art and they both love animals and science.

There are so many reasons.

Cam because he is so smart and gentle and loving. He is always the first one to jump in a help out. He holds doors for everyone and is just a really good kid!

Kaylee because she is so soft spoken, she gets so excited when she gets to see " her girls" ( her friends), the way she sings in this soft little voice. She is pure and good and everything girl!

Karissa because of her sweet spirit, she is the happiest child you would ever want to meet! She has had so many struggles in her short life and yet she faces everyday with a smile and an excitement that is unparalled! All she wants in the world is to love and be loved and to please everyone

I oculd go and on but these are the tip of the iceberg!

Hearing those wonderful words "I love you mommy" and seeing how much we mean to them in their eyes. I love their smiles next and their excitement

DS16: This one is soooo funny that he's just a blast when he's not driving me nuts!! And he is incredibly kind to everyone except:

DD14: I love her spirit and her inner drive to be good and do good.

Becka, I love Nathan's smile too! I get the biggest kick out of seeing that happy little face in your posts!

As for my kids:

DS#1 - his sensitivity, his interest in the world around him, and his tenderness with females, including his mom, his little sister and his girlfriend.

DS#2 - his intellect, his energy level and his bountiful enthusiasm for the things he loves - music/sports/movies/his friends

DD - her openness with her feelings, her love of animals, and her lack of pretense or manipulation in her relationships.

DD is such a smart little girl. And very inquisitive.
She loves to sing and perform. And is a great big sister to her little brother.

DS is the sweetest baby ever. He has the cutest laugh and smile. He loves to play and loves music. He actually be-bops along to music. It's so cute!

Our 3 have grown up to be responsible adults, hard working, DS Billy is a great Dad and DD Star is a terrific Mom. Both have wonderful spouses...just terrific families

DS Ern isn't a Dad yet but i have no doubts he will be a great one when he and his lovely wife are blessed with a child.

They have always made us proud, always. What more can we ask for?

my 12 year old dd is such a kind, giving young lady. I envy her ability to make and keep friends.

my 10 year old dd is bright and inquisitive. I love making conversation with her.

and I love watching both of them excel at things they love -- cheerleading, dance, music, drama.

DD (7 1/2) is a old soul in many ways with a sweet spirit, responsible, compassionate, strong, smart girl that works hard and plays hard. She watches over her little sister as if she were her own!

DD (5 1/2) has a carefree, bright personality with a very inquisitive nature. Things/life in general seem to come a little easier for her. She doesn't know a stranger and people naturally gravitate towards her. I jokingly, call her the family politician. Lol.
She looks up to her big sister and depends on her.


They are both beautiful in their own ways and I love them with all my heart.

Great question, Becka! Mine are driving me nuts with all their fighting, so this gets me to focus on the GOOD things. Let's see....

DS13 - he's extremely bright, sensitive, very caring and considerate, curious about everything, very musically talented

DS11 - he's very outgoing, makes friends very easily, can talk to anyone, great sense of humor, very emotional

My 9 year old DS is my polar opposite. He is extremely laid back and even tempered. Nothing bothers him. He's so flexible and I feel confident that he'll be able to roll through life's punches without much of a problem.

He's funny, caring (today we rescued worms on the way to school - he didn't want them to dry out in the sun), friendly, and open to new things. He's the type of kid that people want to be around and has no clue that he is popular.

His priorities are in the right place, he values people and experiences over money and possessions.

The only thing I'd change...the kid is a talker 24/7. Sweetie, I love you but could you please be quiet for just a couple minutes.

DD4.5 is very intelligent and inquisitive, but she is always willing to snuggle with mom!

DD19mo is so much fun to watch. She faces life head on (which can be very trying for me and DH), but I love seeing everything through her eyes again. How else to you get excited about Dandelions??

I love that even though DS is almost 7 he still finds it nessesary to crawl up in my lap and cuddle...I hate to think that he will one day (maybe soon) grow out of that!

I love that DD is independant, strong and growing into a heck of a young girl (and I really love that she still sleeps with a teddy bear and plays with dolls).

Can you tell I want to keep them little??
