The title explains it all. I know that everybody has their rants when it comes to where they live, but what do you love about it?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

For me, it's the winters. From my house, I can drive to 8 different ski mountains in under an hour. I love snowboarding, so that's a huge plus to me. And, some of those mountains are the best skiing/boarding in the east.

I love the summers, too. I love being able to sit outside and not die of dehydration by sweat loss, but still be warm and cozy. I love how green the trees and grass get. I love the sound of the brook next to my house.

I love the fall around here for the foliage. It's gorgeous and I can see why people drive for hours (I've met leaf-peepers from Alaska!) to come see the New Hampshire/Vermont foliage.

I love the springs. Because it's truly like seeing the re-birth of nature. All the white goes away and slowly, but surely, the green starts to pop out.

I love the food. Man, do the chefs around here know how to cook. I can't think of one bad meal that I've had up here.

The shopping. I live next to a town with an outlet centre. There's over 50 different stores I can shop at- both locally owned and chains like Pac Sun. I never get bored with the "same old stuff", I just go to a new store. There's also a great diversity in style. There's something for everybody to just be comfortable in.

So. What do you love about where you live?

I love how I can go swimming or tanning during any season here.

I also like the warmth down here, I'm not a cold weather person.

I love how I'm less then 25 minutes away from the beach if I ever decided to go.

I love having four seasons the most I think.

I love having a fairly big yard (3/4 acre) and that I don't live in a subdivision but on a street with about 15 houses.

I love that each house on my street is different looking from each other.

I love the trees that surround my house.

I love the spring time and the fresh smells of that season.

As much as I'd love to live near the ocean, I really love where I live (most of the time!)

The people. Everyone's nice and friendly. Nobody minds if you just drop by their house to say hi, and they'll usually invite you in.

The shopping. Via Monte Napoleone, nuff said.

The food. There's so many amazing restaurants to go to.

I love how everything is old.

I love that it takes less than half an hour to get to a big city.

I love the foliage in the fall and summer. In the summer, everything is a gorgeous, lush green. In the fall, everything surrounding you in a mixture of red, yellow, orange and brown.

We have a lot as far as skiing/snowboarding goes. I can get to at least 5 mountains in under an hour, drive a bit more and you got 7.

i love the winter, there are a lot of evergreen trees in my neighborhood so when it snows, it looks really pretty.

also its a small village so all of the shops are locally owned and have very unique merchandise

nothing......

the only thing i like is that we have 80 degree weather all throught winter.

I love that we have alot of natural beauty. Grand Canyon, Sedona, ect. Alot of cool Native American things.

I also love the warmth. Especially in the winter.

I have access to all of the good shopping in a short amount of time.

Not too far from the beach!

I love hearing the accent.. because when I hear it, I know I'm home.

I love the business of the city that is 20 minutes away, yet I love how quiet my town is.

I like being able to have access to the city.
I like the fact that I have a huge backyard but then I can jump on the bus and be in Boston in like 30 minutes.

Boston is nice. I like going to the museums and going to plays. I like shopping on Newberry Street and at the Prudential Center. Chilling around the harbor is pretty sweet too.

The people are alright, it's true we live up to our stereotypes as m*******s especially driving on the Mass Turnpike.

The town I live in is pretty boring though. I like it during Christmas time because we light up the whole square.

Edit: I think the location I live in is nice. I'm only an hour away from the outlets in New Hampshire and Maine.

My best friend.
The Mall. The most amazing mall, everrr! xD It's three stories on one side, and 1/3 of a mile around, and then you go across a little walkway over a road to the other side. The other side has stores "high-end" like burberry, louis vuitton..
it's two stories.
My house. End of story, first place I've lived in that feels like home.

Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, all of the touristy stuff. xP I've always lived here but I'm so lucky because I looove theme parks. xD
Other then that, I kind of live in a small-ish town really close to Orlando, so it's kind of cute. xD I love walking around all the places I went to when I was little, like the park right by the high school and middle school, going to my old elementry school, it's so fun. And going to the library right around there too.
Also we have everything around here. Pretty much every chain resteraunt you can imagine, Publixs & Targets everywhere, and we have like over 15 malls in Central Florida alone. It's insane. xD

I can go to the beach in January.
I can go to a diner at midnight. Any 300 of 'em. (That's just a random number.)
This state's home to (currently) the tallest and fastest roller coaster on the planet, and like 7 malls within a small radius.
We've got the boardwalk, and lot's of it, beaches too. (Cape May, LBI, Seaside, anyone?)
For the older people, we've got AC.
We're home to the New York Giants.
You could get to anywhere in the state within a few hours.
We don't pump our own gas.

I love that I'm never more than 12 minutes away from the ocean no matter where I am.
I love that everyone's heard of Long Island and as weird as it sounds I love the sterotypes.
I love the seasons and how it's never really freezing here.
I love being so close to the city (New York City for the rest of you haha)
I love the shopping and the resturants
I love the beaches
I love haunted Long Island
I just really love Long Island.

Ditto to those. xD

The fact that it's pretty rural, there's a lot of fields and woods and a snazzy resevoir.
The fact that my stables are so close to me and that if you ride through my village there's lots and lots of fantastic rides of varying lengths with long gallops, jumps and water.
It's also pretty soft around here, there's no trouble with hooligans or crime most of the time.

I pretty much hate my town, but my side of it is okay. It's nothing amazing though, I don't want to live here forever.

So. What do you love about where you live?

I can see why people come to NH for the fall foliage. When I drove through a couple years ago, it was nothing with trees (from the White Mountains I believe). I felt trapped by trees =P So I could imagine it's beauty in the fall.

Anyhoo.
I love the summer, I love being able to smell the salt air on windy days from the beach. I love it being hot, but not obscenely hot.

I love that I live in the big city of my province. We're still relatively small compared to places like Toronto, but we're big enough to have good shopping, restaurants, etc.

I love that within a matter of minutes I can be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees on the Trans Canada Highway.

I love that my relatives in province are close, an hour to three hours at the most. I like being able to get places quickly.

I love the Fundy Bay, I love the Hopewell Rocks, they're beautiful.

You probably drove through my town! I'm smack dab in the middle of the White Mountains.

Probably! We drove through twice on our way to Ottawa.
We stayed in Portsmouth on the way back.

I love going to Portsmouth. Especially the old shopping/museum districty thing. One of my favourite places when I was younger and living closer to it was the Children's Museum. That place was sooooooo much fun.
