What do you love about where you live, specifically about this season (autumn/winter)? Well, here's what I love:

- Toronto Maple Leafs are in 2nd place in the hockey league as of the time I'm posting this.
- We're expecting snow later in the week! It'll probably just be a light snowfall but still.. it's snow!
- The skating rink by my house just opened up.
- We have kit-kats!
- The area around Georgian Bay (up north) is beautiful. Colourful leaves from huge trees dance in the wind, the water is beginning to freeze, and the trails are so peaceful.
- If you've never had a white Christmas, you've never lived. ;)
- I'm five minutes away from the biggest mall in Canada. (Besides the Edmonton mall, that's defined as an entertainment complex.)
- I'm just 30-45 mniutes away from the CN tower in Toronto. (Time depends on traffic.)
- In Ottawa, when the river by the parliment freezes it becomes the world's longest skating rink.

There are tons more about winter.. but I'm tired of typing. How about you?

here's what i loooooooooooove 'bout new joisey (aka new jersey, hehe)

- the leaves are absolutely gorgeous
- im two minutes away from Petco, my seond home :teeth:
- im about two hours from a beautiful beach and boardwalk with loads of awesome rides
- my house is extremely historical. probably built in the 1700's or 1800's!!

type smore l8r

Here is what i like about where i live:

- umm.. there is nothing.. it is always hot!!

Ask AmberDaze..

- I agree green, the leaves are beautiful
- Kitty cats take strolls along our street
- So many different types of birds visit our bird feeder
- I live close to Rita's Water Ice :goodvibes
- I also live close to the BAGELZ STORE!!! WOOT...
- There is a small creek in our backyard; home to frogs, tadpoles, fish, and BOX TURTLES!
- The sunsets are always very pretty
- Every year there is always great "snowball snow"
- There are flowers even in the winter, that's why we're called the Garden State
- The leaves on one of our trees turn dark purple

I have lived in Jersey, Nu Yawk, and Pennaslavania - I currently reside in RI and I will never leave. E V E R - I liked Jersey, Lived all over it, From Toms River to Newark to Blairstown 7 counties and 11 towns in all. Also lived in Penn - allentown, Easton and Stroudsburg - loved it - BUT, they all were lacking one thing - community. (except Stroudsburg, but hey, can not live where there is NO work) - Here is RI, I know, literally, about 1/3 of the people in the ENTIRE STATE, plus, within 20 minutes of my house, I have a bustling city (Providence), and rolling farmland, plus 2 "mountains" (ok, really big hills) and an amazing forrest and I live in the suburbs - and within 1 hour, I have Boston, Foxwoods and several ski resorts plus the deep forrests of Connecticut- there are a total of 4 seasons here, all last approximately 3 months, the leaves actually change colors more than once. there has never been a school shooting in RI. We can, and have, moved rivers. We also know how to light water on fire. The state bird is a chicken and the state tree is a bush. We have the longest name of any state. We have the smallest land area of any state. We still have more population than 11 other states. Only New Jersey has more people per square mile than Rhode Island. We make submarines here. Mr Potatohead is the state mascot. Our state capital has the 2nd largest unsupported dome in the world (the only one larger is St. Peter's Basillica in Rome). Tennis Hall of Fame. 10% of the state buildings are protected by the Historical Society (ok, thats an exaggeration, but you get the point). We were the only one of the original colonies to live alongside it's native Indian tribe in peace. We fought a war ALONGSIDE that tribe against the evil invaders from Connecticut. We won. We have more former governors who spent time in jail than any other state. During my half hour drive to work, I pass by 27 Dunkin Donuts shops, plus 15 other chain coffee shops (HoneyDew and Tim Horton). We were the first state to have ATM machines. Our counties do not have governments. I dated a governor's daughter in middle school. I have met every governor. We had the first female attorney general in the country. She was a nun. I chatted with her at a Dunkin Donuts once. Clam chowder is better here. There is more water within the states legal boundaries than there is land. HP Lovecraft was born, and died, here. Debra Messing is from here. James Woods lives in my town. His brother still couldnt win the mayorship. I met them both at a bar once. Jim Carey loves RI and films movies here often. The longest serving mayor in our capital (Buddy Cianci) is now serving a federal prison term for racketeering. When he gets out of prison, he will be re-elected. I had coffee with him once too.

In Rhode Island, everyone truly does know everyone. The state should be named "Cheers" - I love this state, and everything about it.

He's right...yes, it's hot -- extremely hot in the summers! But we do have January which is freezing!!!!! Brrrrrrrrrr I love that there is always something to do, always somewhere to go...and Disney is not just a dream away. :goodvibes

What I love about where I live:

- Since the beach is nearby, it's always cool weather. :)
- Mostly every restaurant near us is actually kosher
- Disneyland is less than an hour away!
- There's always a party going on... somewhere
- I see at last a celebrity each day
- The city is set up great :) There's a furniture section of the city, a toy section, a fashion section, etc.
- We get NO trick or treaters! For me this is a good thing ;). Less candy, more leeway time ;)
- The grass is always green
- I can go to a quiet neighborhood to a busy city area within 15 minutes.

1. There's a taco bell a 5 minute walk away
2. I live close to my best friend

hmm.......
well, the leaves are lovely
when it snows and no one has walked outside yet, it looks great

that's sadly about it............... i kinda want to move to florida............. more specifically ORLANDO!!!!!!!!

Not that I want anyone to consider moving here, but I am in LOVE with Tennessee!

To start with:

People here are just plain nice! (all the time)
You get a little bit of all 4 seasons. (yes snow)
College football is the major excitement! ( Go Vol's)
We make nuclear bombs! (or used to at ORNL)
We have the most visited National Park! (Great Smoky Mountains)
I can see the mountains from my back yard!
Did I mention no state income tax?
The cost of living is very low.
I have 3 Starbucks within a 5 minute drive! :surfweb:
Our roads have been rated the best for many years!
Can't forget the Music City and Grand Ole Opery.
How about you NASCAR fans, I've been to Bristol and you haven't.
Can't forget about a good ole pig picken and great BBQ.

Ah forget it you would not want to live here! Plz don't come! :rolleyes1

What I love:

The House of the Mouse is just up the street
No snow
Still wearing shorts & flips at Christmas
We have palm trees :)
We can watch the space shuttle launch and hear it land
I get to see all my friends from all over when they come to visit the House of the Mouse.
No state income tax -- woot! big plus.
Lots of things to do -- "other" theme parks, beaches, scuba diving.
We have manatees
and it can't be said often enough: NO snow! :)

Ok, you just made me homesick - Go Vols! We're going up to the Smokies again next weekend and I can't wait. My BIL works at ORNL but can't tell me a thing about it, LOL.

Here are a few good things about where I live now...
-It only gets snow and ice a few times a year.
-It is close enough to a major city that there is usually something to do or somewhere to go, but far enough away that I don't have to deal with the city unless I choose.
-There are trees and hills! This is a requirement for me.
-It is close enough that I can drive to WDW within a day
-I am just a few hours from my family

- I like all the seasons, and I get a little bit of all them :)
- I live SO close to Starbucks.
- The downtown area in our town is so gosh drat cute!
- House=old! I think 104 yrs old. You can't sneak up on anyone in our house, the floors sqeak.

Only thing I don't like- we're so far away from my cousins near DLR. They live within two hours. Lucky people >_<
