what do you look forward to in the Fall?

Definitely looking forward to our first fall in Wisconsin with the beautiful leaves and colors! :)

Those commercials – Staples, was it? – where the parents are dancing in the aisles to “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” Can really identify with that.

Seriously, though, I love the sense of purpose we get when summer ends. Fall and spring are my favorites because they’re the changing seasons. In fall, we pack away the lazy, free-flowing summer lifestyle that has become boring and return to structure, ritual and purpose. Then when spring comes, that structure and purpose has become too restrictive and we welcome the promise of freedom again.

Of course, the weather has a lot to do with it too. By the end of the summer, I’m sick of humidity. By the end of the winter, I’m sick of the cold.

I look forward to wearing cool socks with my Birks again. :D

And this fall I'll be shopping for new clothes since there is less of me to fill the old ones.

And fall usually means cruise!!

But most importantly, this year fall also means that my daughter will probably come home for a short visit!!

I absolutely love the fall!! I love the weather. Wearing sweats, going apple and pumpkin picking. I look foward to Halloween(my favorite holiday)and my B-day in Nov. Also our anual trip to WDW in Nov. This time my sons first trip. Also my DD starts Kindergarten, full day and we are excited about that, and sad too! Something extra special we are looking foward to in Nov is moving to a new home. After looking and looking and settling on a temporary townhome for a few months because our house sold so quick, we finally found almost exactly what we were looking for. A c1876 colonial. We are so excited!!

That was beautifully written, storylover. :)

(even though I love my summer, I know I could really never live in Florida, for the exact reasons you so eloquently spoke of above). :)

BLECCH, I mourn every fall because my beloved summer is over. :( Thankfully fall here is usually still warm, but I don't like the days getting shorter.

About the only thing to look forward to is football season! :)

I look forward to temperatures under 100 and festivals. I particularly enjoy the Texas Renaissance Festival. :)

Umm let's see that is when I want to begin crocheting again and also working on my quilts.....taking walks in the leaves and putting on a special candle or potpourri.....also when my DS apple orchard opens and I help with making cider donuts and breads, ick. By the time November gets here the smell of all that baking is no longer pleasant and I hate it, lol!

The leaves changing colors - beautiful.

-the cool beeze blowing through the trees
-football (Texans, Longhorns, Unicorns)
-Wurstfest(a local ten day German festival dedicated to sausage)
-time change(I love the weekend we gain an hour)

Im beginning to look forward to fall clothes shopping for my new figure

Normally all I look forward to in the fall is daylight savings time coming around so I can get an extra hour of sleep at night, and then there's the cooler weather-I like that too. But this year, I have all those and a trip to WDW this fall to look forward to.:bounce:

I LOVE Fall!

My birthday
COOLER weather
Halloween (especially now that we will have our own little trick or treater ;) )
The leaves changing colors
COOLER weather (can't say that enough)
Apple Cider
Being able to make stews and chili again
COOLER weather (gotta get it in one more time)

Thanks, Snoopy.
I know what you mean. I don't think I could ever leave my New England home forever.
