What do you like on PASTA?

Angel hair pasta, with a tomato cream sauce, fresh spinach sauteed in garlic, topped with chopped mushrooms and black olives.

MMMMMM....

Master Mason can you do that without the scallops?

I like butter and parmasean cheese as toppings. :)

I'm going to make some sauce, with tomato sauce, paste, garlic, onion and beef.

shrimp, cooked in garlic and wine. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So I tried a new sauce last night- San Marzano Crushed tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, salt and crushed red pepper flakes. I added 2 jalapenos, b/c they were on my tree even though the recipe didn't call for it. Served it up with some penne and reggiano cheese. Yumm!!!

Ok so this weekend, I figured out that I like veggies, and a light garlic sauce in my pasta! I also like shrimp and the sauce then to be creamy!

Me too, it's about as american as a meal can get.

But I also like to make meat sauce with moose. It really brings in some flavor.

I make my meat sauce with half sausage & half either ground venison or ground elk but I have not tried Moose.

Try this recipe sounds weird but really good! Really inexpensive and easy as well. (It is usually a side dish with chicken at our house then a great leftover lunch)

4tbsp peanut oil
6 green onions chopped including tops
1/2 cup water
2/3 cup peanut butter
6 tbsp low sodium soy sauce (we find it tastes too salty with regular soy sauce)
2 tbsp cider vinegar
3 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce (we use a little more than this but like it spicy so use your own judgement.
1 pound cooked pasta ( I like this on really fine noodles like angel hair or chow mein but have also done it with rotini and egg noodles)

saute onions in oil, add water and heat to boiling, remove from heat add all other ingredients except pasta and mix until peanut butter melts, then toss with pasta

That sounds pretty good with the spice. I had a coach who said peanut butter spaghetti was a good pre race day meal. It is pretty tasty.

Love pappardelle with a spicy sausage and mushroom ragu.

This thread made me so hungry.

Another thing that is simple but really good is hot spagetti noodles tossed with olive oil red pepper flakes & parmesan cheese and sometimes I add leftover veges from the night before a great lunch.

Hmmm peaches. Sounds interesting. Not something I would think of on pasta.
