What do you leave in the stroller?

DH carries the camera/video camera bag, and I take my small purse (cross chest) out of the diaper bag and carry that on the ride. That leaves the diaper bag with baby stuff, water bottle, refill mugs, ponchos etc... in the stroller. Honestly, we've never had a problem and don't feel worried at all.

:)

We've been twice when my daughter, first when she was 3 and the second time when she was 6 and never had a problem leaving non essentials in the stroller. I carry all valuables on me when I have to leave the stroller.

This Dec we'll be traveling with my daughter (now 7) and my newborn (due in May, She'll be 6 months) and I plan to do the same.

I usually leave a change of clothes, rain coats, and some snacks on my stroller. I even left Pal Mickey on the stroller at DHS last August while we watched The Muppets and I thought for sure he would be gone but there he was sitting in the stroller exactly where we forgot him. I have also left newly bought toys hanging in a Disney bag on the stroller handle. I have been fortunate to not have anything ever taken. I don't worry too much about things because they are replaceable. :)

I carry all valuables with us at all times, but will leave my diaper bag in the stroller. I try to have a small purse with me so I can stuff a diaper or two, some snacks, and some wipes to take with us without having to carry the whole diaper bag. If the diaper back were to be taken, it would suck but it wouldn't be too big of a deal. What are they gonna do with some diapers and cheerios anyway? :confused3 BTW, I use a bicycle lock on the back wheels of my stroller, so I'm not concerned with anyone taking that!

Whatever you do, don't leave out food! I've seen many, many strollers parked with birds up on the tray eating cheerios/crackers/etc.

:lmao:

This isn't totally related to my original question, but is it possible for the other members of my party to wait in most of the lines and then I join them with the baby when they get to the front? He's a bit of a chunk and can't stand on his own yet. If I have to hold him through lines, I don't think I will be able to take him on many rides if there are waits without killing my back.

I don't know if it matters, but he will be 14 months when we go in early May.

Hi! I'm Kim, mind if I chime in? Dont forget to use FP as often as possible. That'll def help with the wait times. Will any others in your party give you any relief by helping to hold onto your little darling? I completely know how you feel. The first time we took our DS(at the time around the same age as yours and also a humongous chunk) I was also prego with the second DS. I thought my spine would fall out of my back in some of those lines!!! Most people probably won't mind your "catching up" to your party, I know I wouldn't, but still expect a few dirty looks from the less understanding ones. I choose to ignore them. :goodvibes Have a great time!

PS, We leave it all in the stroller, except cameras, cash, tickets etc. I tuck everything snugly underneath in the stroller basket. Never, not even once, have we had a problem with anyone bothering our stuff. Of course we don't make many purchases until the end of our trip so we don't have souveniers to deal with. I agree with a previous post about leaving food or drink exposed due to birds or little hands that haven't been washed. Yuck!

We have all our important stuff with us in a back pack that comes on the rides with us. I leave on the stroller a bag that just has snacks, kids extra clothes, diapers, and other stuff that if someone stole it wouldn't be a big deal. I agree don't leave food out on the stoller. When we were there in Feb I saw the birds landing on the strollers and then going to the bathroom on the strollers.....YUCK!

This is true! Last year at Epcot (over by the nemo ride) we saw a squirrel climb in a bag and pull out trail mix. The bag was left in the seat of the stroller. The squirrel tore a hole in the package and started snacking away! :lmao:

No strollers aren't allowed in line and if there are more than you in the party why can't you pass him around? Do not count on meeting up with your party. Most lines that is impossible to do with the line lay out and to a lot of people that is cutting in line and they won't let you go thru. Can you picture the chaos if everyone did this?

By 14 months he should be able to stand holding your hands, if you are the only person and have to wait alone.

Probably not possible to wait at the beginning of the line and then catch up to your party. Like a PP said most lines wind around and it would be such a hassle, difficult and not worth it to even try. If there are others going with you pass the baby around, have him stand or take a backpack carrier. We used a backpack carrier for both of our kids until they were just too heavy. DH or I would keep it on until we were close to the front and then we take him out and slid the carrier off - we had it down to a science and never slowed down the line.

I carry a small purse with room keys, tickets, camera, asthma inhaler, epipen and money. Everything else stays in the backpack (diapers, wipes, snacks, etc) on the stroller.

My mom & dad will be with me, but they are in their 70s and my mom is getting over a fall where she broke her ribs. My DH will be with me, but he will be controlling our older 2. Unfortunatley, that leaves me with the baby most of the time. I really hope he is able to stand by then, but he currently shows no interest. If you try to pull him up by his hands, he just drops back down. I know there would be chaos, I just didn't know if some of the true kiddie rides had provisions where you could meet up with your party. Not a big deal, I just won't take him on many things unless he decides to cooperate and stand with me. :)
