What do you know about availability in mid-December 2007

I thought I'd ask for a few answers on this since I see conflicting information out there about exactly how booked up all the DVC's are in mid-December (12/9-12/21 2007). I was thinking about renting points for a 2-3 night stay somewhere in that window in a one-bedroom or studio. Is there any chance something would be available this late in the game? Existing reservation would pretty much be my only shot? Thanks for the info, I just want to know whether I should even waste my time looking.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess your only hope is for an existing reservation. The closer you get toward Christmas, the less availability there is.

Slim to none at best. I asked DVC to check on December last week. They said the only chance would be the week before X-Mas.

I"ve been waitlisted for my last night, Dec 11, since last spring. So, who knows if anything will come open.

Post your reqeust on the Rent/Trade Board and see what happens. The longer you wait, the more quickly your chances decrease. Since you are so flexible with dates (and hopefully, resort), you have a chance.

I'm a waitlist for Dec.6 and 9th and have a studio booked for the 7th & 8th at OKW. I have some hope I'll get at least one night but, I'm not holding my breathe. For us it was a last min. weekend trip and we are book for SSR 2br in Jan. This was 2 friends, no kids or husband trip. I'm still holding hope though.
