What do you keep on your person vs. leaving in the stroller?

As a mom of 4, I could potentially become a pack mule for all the "stuff" we end up bringing into the parks. Jackets, snacks, water, autograph books etc etc...My older 2 are now old enough to be responsible for their own bag. (10 and 8) Probably a hip pack of some sort...but if they have one, the 4 year old will want her own too.

If you have more than 1 kiddo- what do you keep on you and what do you leaven the stroller? I know I've seen "don't leave anything of value in the stroller" for fear it will be stolen but I don't really want to haul EVERYTHING.

Do you leave diapers & wipes in the stroller? Sippy cups? Snacks? Jackets? The baby's lovey? etc.

It's been awhile since we went with a little one.

I usually wear a small backpack that I keep my phone, wallet etc along with some snacks and maybe a juice box. Otherwise I leave a beach bag full of everything else in the stroller. I usually bring a thin beach towel as well and cover it up for several reasons..more identifiable, keep noisy hands out of our stuff and bird poop protection:) We've never had a problem.

I don't leave anything in the stroller that I'm not willing to lose.

That said, I once left our camera on top of our stroller while in The Great Movie Ride. Thought for sure it was a goner. Nope! Still there!

We always take our camera, video camera, and wallets with us. We leave pretty much everything else in the stroller, including the diaper bag, jackets, snacks in our soft-sided cooler, toys, even souvenirs if we have purchased any and not had them sent back to the room. We haven't had a problem in 4 trips over the last three years. With that being said, it could happen, stuff could be taken from your stroller, but the risk is worth it for me not being a pack mule all day. It would not be much fun to lose our diapers and extra clothes but carrying them around all day isn't going to work for me either. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they were taken.

The only things I did NOT leave in the stroller were my wallet and the camera. I figured that I had extras of everything else in the room or the car and if they got stolen I could replace them. I refused to be the pack mule out of fear. And we never ever had a problem. We even left some souvenirs purchased that day in the bottom of the stroller under all the other stuff, but we never purchased really expensive stuff, and having them in the stroller at all can be avoided by using package pick up or package delivery.

Oops sorry! Was just going to say I put those basics, plus a change of clothes, in a small plastic bag. I didn't take the diaper bag, didn't want the extra weight. We also had a few snacks. Never had any issues. If someone had felt the need to steal those items, it would have disappointed me, but wouldn't have ruined our vacation.

Now if anyone came back to get their stroller from the area around Disney Jr Live at HS and found some goldfish missing that had been left in the snack holder in their stroller....well, that was my son. Got him out of the stroller, turned away for a sec to grab the camera, turned back and he was stealing snacks from another stroller! Ack!

I also have 4 kids , oldest is 8. I leave most of everything in the stroller. Only things I keep on me are my money, phone, park tickets, and iPods (if I brought them). Diaper bag, food, drinks, extra clothes, park purchases, etc all stay in the stroller. I've never had an issue.

I leave diapers, wipes, change of clothes, water bottles, etc... In the stroller. Everything else is in my backpack.

If it would cause me stress or a lot money to replace it, it is on my person. If it is something I can easily replace without hassle or a lot of cost it is on the stroller.

Camera vs. diaper bag for example.

I have 4 also and last trip was our first since 2000 without a stroller. I used to leave everything on it except my camera and tickets. Although I have been known to leave the camera too. Nothing bad ever happened and it really wasn't something that I was worried about. Now our state fair....I will be pack mule and never even leave a crumb in the stroller (and a rental one at that, not my nice one).

Also meant to add, watch what you give the kids to carry. If they get tired of holding it, it could end up just sitting somewhere and get left behind. Mine last trip (12,11,9,8) all wanted to carry their own things. All those ended up in my bag about an hour into the park.

Like PP mentioned, I leave "diaper bag" type stuff in the stroller. I no longer leave jackets or water misters in there like I used to, as once those were taken from our stroller (not at Disney but at another park). I do occasionally feel like a pack mule, but I'm a worrier and a panicker and I won't enjoy a ride thinking someone might be taking my "stuff"! I also don't entrust my kids to carry their own things. Yes, they are old enough to physically carry their belongings, but - I would be constantly worried they are leaving it somewhere along the line. Again, that's just my own hang-ups!

I also stopped leaving snacks in there (anything unsealed) due to seeing squirrels eating out of open containers left in strollers in every park but DHS. I shudder to think a toddler will be returning to then eat out of a container that an animal had stuck it's head into just a few minutes prior! BLEH!

I carry a medium bag with me. In it I have my wallet, phone, camera, wipes, and tissues. In the stroller I carry a small diaper bag and snacks. My Ds6 carries a small backpack with his stuff. Of coarse nothing I can't replace. Although on this last trip to DW he never lost it or left it laying unattended. I basically carry with me all of my irreplaceable travel nesseceties and leave the easily replaceable ones in the stroller. You decide what goes in each category :thumbsup2

I leave everything in the stroller except for my camera bag filled with camera, camera cards, credit cards, phone and lipgloss. And in the case of Disney, previous autograph books. Things that get left in stroller include drinks, snacks, diaper bag filled with nothing special, sweatshirts, and new souvenirs. Basically anything that can be replaced.

On a side note, last time in Disney I returned to my stroller to find an extra jacket and water bottles dropped off in it. So I'm sure it's easy to get it all mixed up! :) Someone must have thought our stroller was theirs.

Purse with cellphone, sunglasses, one diaper, wipes and hand sanitizer comes with me everywhere. Diaper bag with diapers, wipes, changes of clothes, bottle, sippy and snack cups stays in the stroller. I figure if you're desperate enough steal my kids' clothes and snacks, then you really need them more than I do. But don't touch my hand sanitizer. I finally had my first Disney vacation where I didn't come home sick, and I'm convinced it's because I used it religiously on everyone.

If you leave snacks (which I have) make sure they're sealed. I've seen squirrel's having quite the feast in stroller parking areas!!

I leave anything that I wouldn't be too upset over losing. Extra clothes, diapers, snacks and cups, first aid supplies, etc. Anything that can be replaced fairly easily stays with the stroller.

I have twin two year olds. We left everything with he double stroller this last time (except our phones, we didn't even need wallets since the magic band is good for purchases and meals). Like others, we figured anyone who felt the need to steal used sippy cups or our diapers probably needed them more than us.

I have a baggalini bag - I carry phone and anything else I couldn't replace easily in that. I wore it on every single ride without a problem. I left diapers, wipes, snacks etc on the stroller, and we never had a problem. Like PP have mentioned, if someone steals diapers or my $10 umbrella stroller, they need it more than we do.
