What do you keep from your trips for scrap albums?

We just came back from a long vacation and at the end spent 2 nights at the Hilton Head DVC resort. They use the same room keys as they do at WDW. Well, I was about to throw ours away and my DW said she wanted to keep them for a scrap album of our trip. Between my DD keeping them as toys and DW for scrap albums I think we have WDW rooms keys stashed all around our house.

So, it got me wondering, what little things (like room keys) do you like to keep from your trip for scrap albums or just for memories?

*besides photos*

Aside from tickets and key cards, I have park maps, times guide, tags from the kids lanyards ( they have characters on them), photopass cards, some receipts, pressed pennies, CBR parking permit, clean napkins from certain restuarants, extra stickers from CMs, and kidcot souvenirs from Epcot. :)

In addition to what's already been listed, I can add Jr. Conductor passes from the Railroad & some of the Confetti from the daily opening ceremony @ MK!

I keep things like pressed pennies and the really special stuff. But I do try to limit paper souveniers (even maps and stuff) because the paper very likely contains acid which will damage my photos long term. I'm not militant and keep those things that I consider special (even if they may contain acid/lignen/vinyl) - but I don't keep everything that could be a cute decoration in my scrapbook just because it is cute. But if it has the potential to be damaging to my photos and has a special meaning, I'll use it anyway and spray it (that archival mist is EXPENSIVE though - so I only use it for sentimental items).

Oh, I always take the park maps. I always take about 3 or 4..I can't help it..a free souvenir! :rolleyes1 I also have all our tickets from past trips..it's weird to see how they've changed! Now we have APs, so I can't keep them until the year is up. I also have the EMH wristbands. Really, I keep anything that I get at WDW. I sometimes even pick up graffiti that's on the ground that was thrown around at parades and stuff.

Umm...it's more like what don't I take. I obviously have all the maps with the times guide. I also take napkins, wrappers from the mickey shaped crackers, placemats (the paper ones that will just be thrown away anyway), parking pass, tickets, unused fastpasses, receipts from EVERYTHING (just because I can), anything Disney related from the motel (off-site), flower petals and such that fell from garden type places (man it's hard to find loose botanical stuff in Disney!) and made paper from it, all the souviners that I actually bought (of course), a rock (I have issues with taking rocks from where ever I go), and there are tons of other things that I cannot actually think of at the moment.

I keep all of the above and wish that I had asked for souvenir menus from some of our TS dinners!

You can ask for souviner menus???? Where have I been... this is a great idea now if only I remember to ask....

I keep all kinds of things...room keys, napkins from restaurants we ate at, the co-pilot passes from sitting up front with the driver on the monorail, park maps, EMH bracelets. It is so fun sticking these things in with my photos in my scrapbook! Makes great memories!!! :)

I basically keep anything I get my hands on. When I am working on my scrapbook I end up weeding out things that don't fit in it. DH knows not to throw anything away without asking. ;)

Another saver here! Room keys, of course! Drink stirrers. Unused fast passes. Postcards. Menus--most of the menus are paper now. If you just tell your server you'd like to keep it when you order, they'll say fine. I've even had them bring me extras like dessert menus and kid's menus to put with the regular one. :teeth: Stickers. Things from the room like note pads, etc. Napkins. Maps and schedules. Theme park tickets.

When we went to England, I saved all these paper shopping bags and cut out the parts with addresses or the names of attractions and used them as a border for the first page of my scrapbook. DH thought I was crazy but it looks really cool.

I am the same as just about everyone else. I keep whatever I can get my hands on. For the map items and such that I use, I either put a paper barrier between it and the photo's or laminate it.

I can't wait for our trip so that I can get some new things :cloud9:

You name it I keep it. My family made so much fun of me on our last trip because I was forever stuffing things in my backpack (all legal of course :thumbsup2 ). The only things I can think of that I didn't see mentioned were the wrist bands we wore at the MNSSHP and the one I really caught heck for...the mickey shaped confetti they put on our table on my DD's birthday. I confess, I am a closet packrat

One of my favorites from our last trip was the ticket thing you get when you get off the Buzz Lightyear ride for your photo. It was a perfect embellishment on my scrapbook page!
