What do you have planned for your DVC? Short term and long term?

My plan is a 15 night trip in September (yay, now I don't have to say next year!). I have a healthy amount of banked points to use, so for the first time we'll be returning within four months for another trip the following January or February for Festival of the Arts. Beyond that, not sure how I'll be utilizing points but I need to start long-term planning since I recently added on at Riviera. I'm thinking we can start alternating between WDW and Aulani down the line between non Disney vacations. In the past, we were averaging visits to WDW every other year but can go more frequently depending on the accommodations needed. Obviously, I'm still trying to figure it all out.

My parents originally bought the membership in 1992 when I was a toddler with the intention of being able to spend 1 week in October and 2 weeks in January in Florida in a studio every winter. (Ironically, neither were particularly big Disney fans, they just liked the Florida weather.) They eventually added on two more small contracts so they could have a second week in October. I fully took over the membership 6 years ago.

Short term plans: Continue taking long weekend trips and race weekend (both rundisney and offsite) trips whenever I'm able to get down there. Depending how crazy work gets, I'm often able to add days on to my long weekend last minute using comp time to get a full week trip.

Long term plans: Keep at least one of the smaller contracts, if not all of them, to the bitter end in 2057. My parents purchased the 15 year extension when it was offered, which means if I can continue to keep the contracts until then I'll have just reached retirement age when they expire. I figure at that point I'll either be ready to move down to Orlando and work for Disney or I'll have had enough after 65 years. I must say though, after all these years, it really does feel like home.

Short term.... we took a trip in Oct, 2020 and have another in Feb and another in Oct this year. Continue to do 2 trips a year. (Have 280 points).

Long term, I want to add enough points to continue my 2 weeks a year trips but in 1BR's instead of studios with an occasional 1BR on off years.

I don't see selling the points anytime soon as if I retire to Florida, we will be happy to retain our points for staying at Disney resorts, and my son would be happy to have them when the time comes I can no longer go.
