I am following WW and I'm looking for some new breakfast ideas. What do you have in the morning that's filling and not too high in points?

Right now, I'm still on my oatmeal kick. I have 1/4 cup quick oats (1), 1/2 banana (1), a little bit less than one TBSP. sliced almonds (1), and 1/3 cup 2% milk(1) plus about 1/4 cup water and a little splenda for a total of 4 points. Filling and warm and yummy! :p

I'm not usually all that hungry in the morning and I'm also in a rush to get out the door , so most days I just have cereal.

I usually have 3/4 c Kashi Heart to Heart cereal (1 pt) and 1/2 c 1% milk (1 pt.) and I sweeten with about 1/2 pack of Splenda. The cereal has a lot of fiber, so it's filling, but low in points! Mid-morning, if I get hungry, I eat some carrots or a banana.

I'm not a big breakfast eater and I find if I eat eary I'm hungry by 9 or 10 so I take my breakfast to work and eat around 10. That way I can put lunch off till about 1 and have a snack around 3:30 so that I'm not starving by the time I get home. A couple of things I eat are 3/4 c heart to heart cereal and a no fat vanilla yogurt total 3pts or 1cup canteloupe and yougurt 3pts total. Also at home I toast a low fat wheat hb bun 1pt and put apple butter on it ( alot less points than jelly)

I usually have multi grain Cheerios with Milk for lIfe fat free milk. I have to have a hot drink in the morningand I have decaf black tea with Equal sweetener. ( I have tried Splenda, but have actually gained weight since I started, so I'm back to Equal as of yesterday and lost 1 pound in 1 day)

Sometimes I'll have the Kashi blueberry waffles (plain)

Sometimes I'll make an Egg Beater omelet with onions and fat free ham.

I also eat oatmeal (I like the instant oatmeal with cinnamon and spice)

I usually have about 3/4 cup (1 points) of Shredded Wheat with Bran, and a cup of fat free milk (2 points). Sometimes I'll add a banana.

If I need to grab something to eat on the run (I mean in the car!), it's either a Nutrigrain Bar (2-3 points), or a fat free tortilla with 1/4 c of melted shredded cheese (3 points).

I take my breakfast "to go" during the week. 1/2 a bagel (1.5) sprayed with "free" butter spray and, a serving of fruit, whether it's 1/2 C mandarin oranges, 1 C watermelon, 1/2 sliced apple, 1 C strawberries with Splenda, 1/2 banana.....you get the idea. ;) I also have another serving of fruit right before lunch or, with lunch. On the days I'm home, I substitute the bagel with an English muffin, again sprayed with "free" butter. :teeth:

I sometimes have a 1/2 cup of egg beaters (1 POINT) made into scrambled eggs. Two slices of lite wheat (1 PT) sprayed with butter. Pre cooked bacon (.5 PT) 1/2 OJ (1 PT) or
1 cup cereal (2-3 PT) plus 1 cup skim milk (2 PT) plus a piece of fruit (1-2 PT)

For those that use the "free" butter spray...are you using the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter or is there something else?

I use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray. That stuff's been a lifesaver for me!

I use both the I Can't Believe It's Not butter and, the WW cooking spray. WW spray is kept at room temp so, if I don't want cold 'butter' I use the spray can, i.e. on my popcorn. ;)

My normal breakfast is whole wheat bread and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter for 3.5 points total.

I will also have oatmeal for between 2-3 points depending on which one I eat.
Grits - 2 points
Whole wheat bagel and light cream cheese 5.5 points total
egg with cheese and mushrooms 3 points

my favorite new breakfast is as follows:

1 thomas low carb bagel (2)
1 morningstar breakfast pattie (1)
1 slice 2% american cheese (1)

total: 4 points

i'm doing ww, but the lc bagels are low points, so they work. plus, there is so much fiber and protein in both the bagel and the pattie, that it really keeps me full. not to mention the cheese. of course, you have to be able to get over the idea that the "sausage" isn't sausage, but it really does taste like it!

i also like oatmeal with peanut butter and banana (inspired by erin (lulu)):

1/3 cup oatmeal, prepared on the stove with water (1.5)
mix in half mashed banana (1) + 1/2 tbsp pb (1) + 1/4 cup skim milk (.5) + splenda (0)

total: 4

i also play around with the portions. if i want an extra big bowl, i'll use more oatmeal, but the same amounts of everything else and it works fine. sometimes i want extra pb. the milk i usually eyeball, since 1/4 cup will sometimes make it too watery. depends on your taste i guess.
