Personally, that ride makes me feel so.... Disturbed after getting out of the ride. Not that it's a bad thing, maybe they want you to feel eerie'd out after that ride, haha.

Anyone else?

I always thought it ended too abruptly, like they ran out of space to finish it. :confused3

It is one of the rougher rides, it really slams you around! It is so fast I never remember the story. Of course, I only do it once every ten years.

I agree. The best thing about it is that it always has a very short line so we go on it a lot when DS is with us.

That ride was traumatic for my oldest dd when she was 4! It was her 1st ever trip to DL and I was not as Disney savvy as I am now so I did not know or remember the intense parts (you'd think the "scary" adventures part of the title would have jogged my memory  )

After she rode it and watching her cower in terror, we had to battle to convince her to ride anything. Even today (she is 9 now) I think this ride triggers bad memories for her!

boring, and not well done. I always thought it was awkward. All this stuff going on, and bam "and they lived happily ever after" I think they should redo it.

I agree also. I feel like the phoned that one in. I personally get creeped out by the Pinocchio Ride. That one just seems kinda creepy to me. I think my favorite in Fantasy Land is Alice in Wonderland. The buggys themselves just cant be beat.

The part where the queen turns around and she's the witch scares me everytime.

It freaked me out the first time I rode it as an adult (after not having rode it in 10+ years). Maybe that was because it was late at night, on one else was on it, and I was tired so I wasn't paying attention until, bam, something happened (like the witch turning around). It's anything but a little kid ride when you compare it to Peter Pan. Even Mr. Toad's with its lovely depiction of hell is fluffier than Snow White imo.

The witch scared me the first time but that was it. I had prewarned my 8 year old dd about her because she gets frightned easily. She came off the ride wondering what had happened in the end too, not one of my favorites.

Pooh on the other hand . . . I love his acid trip. :) I love how they used such simple techniques on some of it for such cool results.

I think they should take the time to update all of the fantasyland rides. I do love peter pan but it also could be sooo much neater! It's disney and those are loved stories and they certainly could be made out to be more child friendly! :) Perhaps adult friendly too...they are creepy indeed!

You are so right! Snow White's ride is so choppy and ends way to abruptly for me as well. Actually I think all the indoor Fantasy land rides could be redone. Don't get me wrong, I love the originality of all of them and the character they bring to DL, but technology has come a long way. Just to think of what they could do with each of those rides. All of the indoor FL rides scare my kids, I think it's mostly their age though. Their imaginations can really pull a fast one on them...but that doesn't keep them from going on them. :)

I don't like it or pinocchio. Don't go on them anymore.

But we love Pooh! It's so nice and cool in there, and DS likes going on it 5 times in a row, so it's a nice little nap, especially when they let us go around again without getting back into the line.

When I saw the title of this thread I planned on coming in and posting that they must have run out of room, but I see someone beat me too it hahahah!

I get a laugh out of the ride as our group always discusses how the Witch kills the dwarves and lives happily ever after and how it must have been a version we missed. The thing ends making now sense at all.

The only reason I would hate to see the fantasyland rides updated is I am sure that all the rides would be made more fluffy and PC. The movies themselves had dark images. They represent the old Disney movies and the movies themselves.

Saying all that though, one or two more scenes might be a nice thing for poor Snow White so the story at least made sense hahah!

I think it's supposed to make you feel eerie; it is called a "dark ride" for a reason. ;)

Whenever I'd ride it when I was small, I'd always get scared of the Old Hag, especially when she'd pop out of the darkness. The part I'd always have to look after it happened was when she appears out of Snow's cottage at the end and her arm used to come out w/ an apple. That always creeped me out & now it's just not the same w/ the holographic apple.

Can't ride it alone!

I ran over to the Park to run a quick errand, and got stuck behind a Parade, so I thought I'd just ride it quickly- alone! Biiiiiiig mistake! As soon as I sat down and it pulled in, I remembered how much it scared me!

I ended up having to shut my eyes when the Queen turned around and was the witch, and kept them shut for the remainder of the ride! When I exited, I texted my best friend 'Just rode Snow White's Scary Adventure! Alone!' and she texted back 'WHY?!?!?! Are you okay!?'

Yeeeeesh! I won't do that again! :scared1:

This is one of the VERY few rides that I like better at the MK in WDW. There they at least have a happy ending scene so it's actually resolved instead of ending so abruptly. I would like to see this happen at DL but I have no idea where they would have room for it, unless they gave the ride a complete overhaul.

I also like the fact that the rides are a bit creepy/scary. I think it helps kids (and some adults!) deal with fears and conquer them in some small way. Imagine if all dark rides were as shiny and happy as Small World...now THAT would be scary!

I'm not sure I trust current WDI to COMPLETELY redo the classic FL dark rides, honestly. When I think about what they might do, I get visions of lots of video screens.....:3dglasses :scared:

(only joking...sorta) ;)
