I'm a big planner so make lots of lists and prep for my vacations, particularly WDW. I like to bring my creature comforts (within reason), and to look cute in pictures so I get my hair done, pedicure (unless I'm planning on going at Disney), plan my wardrobe, get envelopes with the tips for Mousekeeping done and decorated, do an itinerary for which park we will be going to, our ADRs times, and reminders of activities or new snacks I want to try. The My Disney experience app helps with this too to remind about parades and show times.

Oh yes and lose weight!

I'm curious what other people do.

Good Question! I can't believe no one has replied to this. I am an avid planner and I obsess over every detail. I think half the fun of going is the planning. I am a commando tourer in that I like to figure out each and every day what I will be doing, where I will eat, and the order I do the rides. Maybe it's easy because I'm single and don't have any kids. I can't imagine how families get everything coordinated. Kudos to you guys! Who else likes to plan or are some people complete NON planners and how do you do that? Don't you worry that you will miss out on something?
The reason I love to plan is because this is an expensive vacation so I want to get my money's worth.

One of the things I love to do is PLAN!

Often, especially for my Florida trips, I know MONTHS in advance that I'm going. I go to Florida to visit with my friend, but she hates to plan. Basically, she leaves everything up to me. I'll inquire into the activities she'd like to do and restaurants she'd like to eat at, etc, and then I'll add in my own, and then make an extensive itinerary.

Carol loves my itineraries, so it's perfect.

I'll give us a few rain dates, and if we don't need them, we'll either find something impromptu to do or spend a lazy day in. Or go shopping. ;)

I also enjoy packing weeks in advance. I bring down my suitcase a month before I leave, and prop it open on a chair that I don't normally use. Any time I come across something I'll need for the trip but won't be using beforehand, I throw it in the suitcase. I'm quite prone to forgetting something, so this actually helps me pack thoroughly. I pack my clothes and essentials last, but other things like special bath products, gifts, park related items, and anything else goes straight in the suitcase as soon as I think of it.

I like to buy special bath products so that I can spend some time relaxing. I go to Lush and purchase bath bombs, special soap, etc.

I try my best to get my hair done the week before I go on vacation, although sometimes it just doesn't work out that way.

I'll do my nails and toe nails so that I'll feel pretty.

I do all these same things as you. That must be a feature of super planners! What about you GirlFriday?:)

I don't usually do much in the way of personal maintenance. But I do clean the house from top to bottom, make sure we have enough laundry clean for our trip, and I usually do my nails a fun theme. This time around we will be driving so there is a little more prep work. I need to get the car an oil change before we go, check the tire pressure, clean the car out and go through a practice run of making sure everything fits for our drive down :rotfl:

Okay so I just looked through my list of "things to do before Disney" and there are a couple more. I need to get some cash converted to American for tolls on the way down and back. I might order some stuff online and have it sent to our resort to avoid high shipping charges to Canada. And I have to update our GPS. I'm sure there will be more things added on to this as we get closer but this is what I have right now.
