Trying to plan the music for our reception at st James room. I was thinking to bring an iPod and speaker and set it up ourselves but if we let Disney sort it out what do they do?

It depends on what you pay for. The very basic thing would be an iPod hookup and speaker(s) that you would need to run yourselves. The next step up would be paying for a Disney sound tech to run the iPod. And the next step up from that would be hiring a DJ with complete setup.

What are the approximate prices of each of those options? Do you know?

It depends on your location. The iPod setup alone starts at $250 but could be higher. A tech adds a few hundred more dollars to the price. I know when we had one for our ceremony in Epcot, we were charged $785 (+tax and service charge) for a CD player, 2 speakers, 2 lapel microphones, and a guy to run the sound, but the cost might be less if you're indoors. A DJ runs $1,200-$1,500 for 4 hours, but that includes lighting, sound, etc.
