What do you get an(active) 80 yr old for his birthday???

I have no idea what to get. the last gadget I bought for him(GPS) was at Christmas and he loves it. I just don't know what to get. Any ideas???

My 81 year old Dad loves his Kindle!

He is still active, exercises, and is a docent at a local museum, and he loves to read, but was finding the print in books hard to see, and also hardback books were heavy. He loves that the kindle is so light and he can enlarge the print.

I would get him a gift certificate related to one of his activities. Ex. a gc for a round of golf? Dinner at a favorite restaurant?

Is there something that still interest him or soemthing he still hasn't done. A friend of mine took her father on a hot air balloon ride for a big birthday present. I think number 90.

Does he still enjoy cooking? What about some cooking classes? He could still be out socializing and learning at the same time.

My granny was still granny on the go but couldn't really tie her shoes anymore because of arthritis in her fingers. I bought her some really nice light weight leather(white leather was what she wanted so she could wash them off) velvro close shoes. She loved them and could go every where in them.

When my grandma turned 80 she wanted to go see the male strippers She'd never been. Chippendales were big at the time so I got tickets and she had a blast. I had more fun watching her have fun.
