What do you eat on Weight Watchers?

I've been working the Weight Watchers PointsPlus program for three weeks now, and I'm in a bit of a food rut.

I feel like I'm eating the same things all the time -- lots of oatmeal, yogurt, wraps and salads (and, of course, fruits and veggies) -- and I'm in a bit of a rut.

What do YOU eat that's WW-friendly? I'm open to all sorts of suggestions: snacks, new recipes, you name it.

TIA!

Greek yogurt is your friend! I have a lot of fun coming up with new ways to use it! In the morning, I scramble 1 egg, 1 egg white (or all egg whites), a little bit of cheese, sautéed veggies, and bacon crumbles from Costco (ONE point per serving). I really look forward to having this breakfast. Sometimes, I will mix Greek yogurt and pico de gallo and eat it with the eggs. It is a 7 point breakfast, but it keeps me full for a while. You can also take out the cheese, or the bacon crumbles, or the egg yolks to lower the points.

Carrots and 100 calorie pack Wholly Guacamole. 3 points total. My current favorite!

Ooh, that sounds awesome! I always forget the tasty combination that is eggs and salsa. Thanks!

You had me at guacamole. It and hummus are my weaknesses. I never thought to eat it with carrots, but I will now. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the 100-calorie packs. :thumbsup2

This might sound obnoxious, but...I eat whatever I want. :confused3 That's what I love about this program...I truly don't feel like I am on a diet!

Anyway...a more helpful answer: I really like the frozen SmartOnes breakfast meals. The breakfast quesadilla (5PP) is my favorite. Maybe you can try eggs or a combination of eggs and egg whites?
And I agree with keahgirl8, Greek yogurt is a great option as well. I started out with the Weight Watchers yogurt (2PP) but it tasted so fake to me and wasn't filling me up. I switched to Chobani (3PP) and I like it much better (the apple cinnamon flavor...OMG :lovestruc). It's more filling and I love the thick, creamy texture.
I also like Fiber One brownies...I think they are 2PP apiece and are tasty.

Good luck!! :goodvibes

Fiber One Brownies are so good! Yesterday, I got a Veggie Delite sandwich from Subway which was delicious. Oh! Also, I had a taco salad I posted about in another thread. Boneless skinless chicken breast, reduced fat cheese, Greek yogurt, green salsa, pico de gallo, and tons of veggies. So good!

I do agree with what you said as well. Sometimes, it is okay to eat what you want! Of course you need to make healthy choices most of the time to fuel our body, but if you are craving something or want to treat yourself, have it! Watch your portions and calculate your points! I went to the movies the other day. I LOVE buttered popcorn at a movie. So, I ate things that were low in points all day, then, I had my popcorn! Because I had budgeted my points, I still had some left for dinner! Above all, enjoy your life! That is what makes WW work.

Not obnoxious at all. One thing I'm still learning is how to eat intuitively: how to eat what I want (in moderation, of course) when I want, and to STOP eating when I'm full. I think WW is the best way for me to get there, as it doesn't restrict what I eat.

Thanks for the brownie recommendation. I have a major sweet tooth and am always looking for treats that are low in points.

That taco salad sounds delish! I will definitely be trying that.

I too eat what I want, but I'm just watching the servings.

One thing I found I really liked was some Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine dinners. There are some great dishes there ranging from asian, to pizza, to american... whatever you want really.

The best part is that they have the WW points printed on the box!

It is! In fact, I just ate it again! Another good snack for a sweet tooth is the Fiber Plus bar in chocolate and coconut. I eat it when I am craving a candy bar, and it does the trick!

If you are really craving something high in points, but don't have the points to spare, look on the WW site for a recipe to make a low points version! I made red velvet cupcakes for Easter weekend and they were delicious!

I will revisit those. I ate Lean Cuisines pretty much every day at work for a few years and got burnt out awhile ago, but I'll see if there are some new ones that catch my eye.

I'll check out the WW site ... thanks. I've also been exploring Skinnytaste.com. She posts the Points values for her dishes, but some of the portions are really small.

Oh, and I got some Fiber One brownies on my way into work this morning ... holy YUM! Those are super tasty. :thumbsup2

I was so hungry when I got home last night. This is what I made as a pre-dinner snack (We usually don't eat until 8ish):

1/2c Egg beaters
1/4c Salsa
sprinkle of mexi-cheese.

Mix all together in a mug and microwave for about a minute then stir then microwave for another minute or two and enjoy. :) It was only 1pt too!

I got inspiration from skinny girl. Check out that website too.
