Anyway, most of you go to the world yearly... of course you probably have done literally everything there is to do in Disney world. Seen all the attractions, eaten at probably all the restaurants, ridden all the rides numberous of times. etc.

I know Disney World is a passion for people here. but how do you keep the magic alive when you have done everything and not get bored?

Good question. I think a big part of it for us, having gone enough times now to have done many of the attractions and what not, is not having to rush around as much anymore. We do rope drop a few times a trip just to ensure we get on some of the bigger attractions (like Soarin', TT, EE, that sort of thing). But it doesn't feel as rushed and there's not a feeling of "I need to do this or I'll never get to again." On top of that we can take breaks during the day and not feel bad about it.

As for new stuff, we like to try different restaurants, we'll mix up the order in which we visit the parks, stay at different resorts. We've considered tours but have never followed through with it.

I think overall, there is a limit to "new" stuff you can do. However, you can really appreciate the parks, the little nuances that are scattered throughout, and just savor the trip in a different way than if it's your first visit.

Just my $.02. :wizard:

I'd be curious to hear what other people have to say, too.

When we go to Disney, we try to do something different for each trip. We rent a car so we are not restricted to Disney property. On our upcoming trip, we will be going to Discovery Cove. We are very excited to swim with the dolphins. In the past, we have gone on a hot air balloon ride and have done a zip line tour. We do schedule some dinners at the restaurants that we absolutely love, but we are planning on visiting quite a few that we haven't been to before. We are celebrating my daughter's 13th birthday as well, so we will be going on the Birthday Celebration Cruise. Very excited for that too. There are some really fun tours to do too. The Segway tour @ Epcot was something that we really loved. We are trying the tour at Fort Wilderness Campground this year.

We have been over to the Boardwalk a number of times, but we have never been over there in the evening. I hear it supposed to be really fun over there then, so we will be stopping by there. We have always wanted to parasail, but haven't done that yet. I would love to go on an airboat ride too. When we go, we usually visit for 2 weeks. That's why we try to fit in some extras while we are there. We like to visit the different resorts too. Each one is so unique.

Those are just some of the things we are planning on doing this trip. I am always trying to mix it up and plan something new and exciting.:tinker:

I keep going back because there's so many different things to do! I may have only been going to the World since November 2009 but since that time, I've had 5 trips that were all at least a week or more each - most longer. And I have an 8 night/9 day trip coming up in September. That means in my first year having been to the World, I spent over one month there.

The reason I'm still going back is not just because I fell in love with Disney World but because there's always something new to do each trip. Just some examples: One trip I did the Wishes Fireworks Cruise. On another trip I did the Illuminations Fireworks Cruise. For two trips I used Gifts of a Lifetime to make the trip "special." As of my upcoming trip, I will have experienced 5 different "holidays" at WDW: Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Christmas, Halloween and Memorial Day. I've celebrated two birthdays at WDW. Twice I did the Christmas Party. In two months I do the Halloween Party. Once I did the hot air balloon at DTD, and once I visited for Star Wars Weekends.

This trip not only am I doing the Halloween party for the first time, but I'm going para-sailing for the first time, and I have a breakfast reservation in the Magic Kingdom before the park opens: I can't wait to see Main Street deserted!

As of September trip, I will have stayed in 6 different resorts (2 deluxe, 3 moderate, and 1 value) and I will actually have at 86 different WDW restaurants (both TS and CS not including food "carts"). I don't go just for the "attractions." They compliment the other things I like about visiting...

We still have not done some things and have gone a few times.

It would take many trips to see everything, and stay everywhere. This past trip we did the Behind the Scenes tour, and had a great time.

I also used this trip to look for "Hidden Magic" in the parks. (Looking for Mortimer Mouse stamp in DHS, etc.)

Try some tours, and really watch the theming in the parks.

WDW never gets old!!!!

Disney is a place you fall in love with....or you don't. So many things have changed over the years. Some for the good....some not so much. I remember as a kid...my parents taking us to the beach (Coco, Daytona...) and I didn't get it, I loved River Country!. I could swim on the beach at the Poly! Those days are long gone. But the most defining moment for me....looking down Main Street, USA. No matter what stores they throw in there....it's still the same. They can Goofy up Cinderella's castle....but it's still the same. I am the same....I will cry everytime I watch the MSEP....and everytime I watch any renditions of the fireworks.

What I love about Disney is that it is always magical. Sometimes it's the fact that things are the same that makes me love it! That being said, I can't imagine having done everything at the parks! I've been on vacation there 7 times, and did an ICP program for three months and there are STILL things I haven't done! If you're worried about getting bored (although I can't imagine that happening,) here are some suggestions:

1. Characters. They are so much fun, and every interaction is different. It can be time-consuming, but I feel it's worth it. Some of my favourite memories of last summer involve Ariel, Goofy and Tiana!

2. Talking to people. I'm normally shy, so I rarely talked to other guests but as a CM that was, obviously, part of my job. Now I love talking to people (when it's not awkward) and hearing their stories. My personal fave was an older couple who had biked to WDW from New York for their anniversary!

3 Dining Options. Since I had three months last summer, I challenged myself to eat at every place that served food or drink in Magic Kingdom. I sadly, did not succeed (I missed E-Grove and El Piratya!) but I did realize that there are a lot more food option that my family ever tried. We always got stuck in a rut, so look for new places and experience.

4. The Little Things. The Kiss Goodnight in MK always brings a tear to my eye, although you have to be willing to just chill and wait for it. At night, they sometimes do "shows" on the castle to classic Disney music with lights. It seemed to be random, and I'm not sure if they're still doing it, but it was fun to watch if you catch it. There are so many "little" things and shows like that they alone could keep you busy! The DIS has threads devoted to these things, so definitely check them out!

Sorry, this post got a bit long and out of control! But hope you find it useful :)

I've been about 14 or 15 times (we lost count of some earlier trips) since 1986 and even going yearly now with my kids does not get old for us! Things change sometimes and I have NOT done everything yet! I haven't eaten at all the restaurants, never done Disney Quest, Characters in Flight, Boardwalk, no tours, no fireworks cruises, no dessert or fireworks packages/parties, and those are just the immediate things that come to mind. I know for me, I love WDW and the magic started all over again when I had kids and took them and saw the excitement on their faces! With the new things coming, like the Fantasyland expansion, I know there's even more for me to enjoy each year!

Went to WDW for the 1st time in 1991 yearly for the next 10 years. Two, three and four times a year since. At least 35-40 times. :lovestruc Lost count. We love it because we always find something new to do. It may be a path we missed in AK or an attraction we never tried or a show we couldn't make time for and finally did! We can have dinner and drinks and noone has to be the Designated driver :goodvibes We can dance watch sporting events have a mani pedi. OR we can do nothing. Sit on a balcony and read a book. Each trip is differant! The seasons, the holidays, ESPN weekend the fun is endless!:)

I go quite frequently, but I haven't done everything at WDW! I actually have a long list of Disney to-dos.

It's easy to stick to favorites, but I try to mix things up with new ADRs and activities.

Also, I've been to WDW with my family countless times, but on my upcoming trip we are going to a Disney waterpark for the first time! In the past, we were so focused on the theme parks, that we never made it to the waterparks!

i have only done the waterparks once in my life in 1996 (Typhoon lagoon) and i totally loved it mostly because i was 10 and didn't care what i looked like in a bathing suit. Now I'm 24 and very self conscience because i do have some extra poundage. Eeek. But i'm trying to loose it for this year (I say that ever year. - Life is sometimes stressfull for me and i'm an emotional eater. :( ).

We also enjoy taking our time around the parks now instead of rushing trying to do everything.

I like to get a pastry and a coffee from the bakery in MK first thing in the morning find somewhere to sit and enjoy them while watching the world go by.

I love photography and enjoy taking photos around the world.
