What do you do with your sunglasses when you go on a ride?

I just purchased a pricey pair of sunglasses and I am concerned about how they will fare on the various rides (rollercoasters being my main concern). They came with a case that I can clip on my belt loop, but it is sort of bulky and I hate having things hanging off of me! I have a tether, but I didn't know if it would be good to keep them tethered around my neck during rides. I am a complete tight-wad, so this purchase was completely out of character for me, and I want to make sure I take care of these glasses properly. So, what is the best way to keep them safe during the more "rough" rides? Thank you so much for your advice!!!

if i have sunglasses or my glasses on i usually put them in a pocket or just keep em on i have had to wear glasses since 1rst grade and have never lost them on a ride but if you want to make sure keep them in a pocket

I hang mine around my neck with a tether or hold them in my hand depending on how rough the ride is. If I keep the tether realtively tight, there is no way they will come off. Just make sure to spend a few bucks on a good tether. There are some really cheap ones out there that I wouldn't trust.

If you are really concerned, wear them as normal on your face (as if you were outside)with the tether as back up.

I take them off and place them in my hat inside my backpack

i hold mine in my hand ( folded up ) or sometimes since i can't see a thing without them cheat and hold them on with my hand on the side( obviously not on jerky rides)

If you hang them on a strap around your neck on Tower of Terror they will float out in front of your chest. Kind of nifty!

I hate sunglasses but sometimes they are absolutely necessary. I keep mine on a strap or put them in the case in our backpack if I am going upside down. Of course if I am not on a ride half the time they are on top of my head because I don't like to wear them properly.

My hands, my head, my backpack - depending on the ride.

I don't wear my "real" sunglasses at WDW - I just bring a decent looking "throw-away" pair that it's not the end of the world if they get scratched when I shove them in my backpack. In fact, the $12 ones they sell at the resorts have always done well by me - but I don't bring any of my high quality one from home.

What about if you have a backpack? What do you do with that?

I've taken a backpack on every single ride at WDW. I just hold it, or secure it between my legs. On something like RnR I do both. It's really not very difficult.

I use a small fanny pack. It can be rotated to the front while on rides. I place everything inside the fanny pack in a gallon ziplock bag. That way my digital camera stays dry on wet rides.
