What do you do with your laptops while at WDW?

I was just sitting here thinking about our trip in Sept. Of course it won't fit in the safe and we won't take it with us so what will we do with the laptop?

I leave it set up and running (and probably still connected to the internet).

When I took mine to WDW I just left it on the table in the hotel room.

I never brought one before...but now I have one that is internet ready to go so I will bring it along. Everyone I know just leaves them running or on the table in the rooms, I have not heard of anyone having a problem doing that.

Thanks everyone! Sounds good to me! I had no idea if it was a worry or not...but of course everything in Mississippi is a worry....can't even leave your bike outside for more than 2 minutes

I keep mine in the room locked up. I have several different locks which make it harder to want to take too

I've always left mine up and running on a table - not just at WDW, but at all the hotels I have stayed at traveling. Iif you are concerned about leaving it out, I would put it in your suitcase or some place out of site.

I leave mine up and running on the desk in the room. I have never had a problem with it. I am not sure I would do that if I was staying at a DAYS INN or something like that, but I would at a Disney resort or equvalent

I use a laptop cable lock. http://www.kensington.com/html/2219.html Usually, in many hotels, the desk, or wall near the desk, is equipped with a steel locking loop that the cable can be looped through. Surprisingly, the Swan/Dolphin at WDW, which bill themselves as 'convention resorts' do not have such steel loops. There I loop it through the legs of the chair, certainly not the most secure thought, LOL. In any case, regardless how secured, if it is not locked away, out of sight, it can be stolen, if someone wants to steal it.

What I did with mine was put it in it's case locked case, put inside Dh's suitcase locked suitcase, put his suitcase inside my suitcase and locked my suitcase.

I take the lock of my suitcase (since it's empty - my clothes go in the drawers) and put it on my laptop case.
