What do you do with your coats during the day?

Our trip is on Wednesday! Yay! When I went to take the garbage out last night (we live in NorCal), I shivered at how cold it was. Obviously we are going to need our jackets, especially for things like the fireworks show, but I know that it will be nice during the day (high of 70).


Sounds like a silly question, but... if you don't go back to your rooms, what do you do with your coats all day? Tie them around your waist? Stuff 'em in a backpack? Get a locker?

we usually just bring layers, and keep them in our backpack...
never bring coats or jackets, usually just some long sleeve shirts and then a nice sweat shirt for when it gets real cool.

only time we bring jackets is when it is raining.

we were going to use a locker for our lunch items we brought in with us in October, but thought the $7 for the day to be a bit much, so we just carried it with us....and as we ate our food during the day the backpack got lighter anyway

I'm a "big purse" girl, so if I tightly roll a sweatshirt up, it will fit in my purse. I think it's too far to leave in my car and go back to get, and I also don't like paying for a locker just to hold it, but if you have a whole family's coats, it might be worth getting a locker.

Holy moly, $7! I was thinking maybe $1.50.... Gotta remember the Disney prices....

We will have four adults and two kids, so maybe it will be worth it. Otherwise, maybe the sweatshirt idea is better.

I don't like to bring a backpack, but I do bring a backpack purse sometimes. However, it is hard to fit a sweatshirt in it . I tend to do the layer thing and tie the sweatshirt around my waist. If I bring my backpack purse I can store an extra shirt in it.

Glad you asked the question, CaliTK! DW & I are bringing DGD6 to DLR after Thanksgiving, and I was wondering the same thing. I'll probably just bite the bullet and spend $7/day on a locker. That way, we can not only stuff in our jackets, we'll also have someplace to store sandwiches for lunch and bottled waters, too. That should save more than the locker rental.

I believe that the locker rental fee allows unlimited in & out all day, right?

$7 is SO WORTH IT...especially since I'm going the day after Thanksgiving...where are the lockers located...off Main Street by Carnation Cafe, right?

The prices are $7 for the smallest locker...
If you want a locker you have to get it early.
There are also lockers outside the next to guest relations to the left of the turnstiles.

Locker rentals are $7, $10, $11, $12, or $15 per day, depending on the locker's size. Lockers provide unlimited access throughout the day.

Disneyland® Park: Lockers are available outside the Main Entrance and on Main Street, U.S.A.

Oh yes, it was cold this morning.....my windshield was iced over. We do take coats but only take them to the parks if it's raining. Otherwise we just layer and take sweatshirts. We have put coats in a locker before tho, a small locker is plenty big enough for the 4 of us.
