I was giving them away to a lady I worked with that needed them, then I changed jobs and she moved so I had sold them on ebay, then I gave some to goodwill and I was just about to do that again this morning, but then I was talking to a lady I work with and she has 4 small children under 5, and she had been evicted from her house and had to move to a trailer and she was talking about how she didn't know how she was goint to afford shoes and winter clothes for her children, so I went back home and grabbed 8 walmart size bags full of clothes and gave them to her. She had tears in her eyes and was so thankful and now I feel so good knowing that I am able to help someone. It's little things like helping someone that needs it that make life so sweet.:D

I don't have kids...but I know alot of women in my office that "pass around" clothes when they get too small for their own children.

Personally, I would donate or "pass them on" before I sold them...same thing I do with my own clothes.

Right now I have 6 storage tubs of DD's clothes in my garage. They are waiting for our next Daughter to wear them. LOL! If we have a boy I will sell them on a garage sale or maybe try ebay. What I don't sell will go to Goodwill. I am also lending them to my Niece when she needs them. :)

I give them away. Last year I gave them to two little boys
on my bus.

Definitely! I have two moms I share with. One is in dire need of everything one needs in life! People who need clothing for their children are generally so grateful.

If they are still in good shape which most of them are we donate them to a local charity. All the donated clothes and other artivles are than distributed to families in woman's or homeless shelters. It makes me feel really good! I am happy and proud to lift a hand up for someone in need! I hope and pray that I never have to be in need of such assistance!

I give my dd's clothes to her twin cousins (they're a year and a half younger than she is), and I give my ds's clothes to one of my cousins (she's a single mom of 2 young boys and is very appreciative of any help). I also give any of their old toys to my cousin. Her ds's love the little Ford truck my kids outgrew.:teeth: She said that truck has been a Godsend.:teeth:

I sell in a kids consignnent sale held at a church. You receive 70% of the selling price and 30% goes to missions. You make much more than you would in a garage sale and they go to missions. The ones that don't sell go to charity.

All Clothes go to goodwill. However, I make an itemized list of all things that are donated. I walk around good will store to look for like items and get the prices they are charging. I also look at E-Bay for prices. I then use this as a basis for establishing market value which is needed to establish Tax Deduction value.

Some I give away, if I know someone who can use them at the time. Two years ago I gave 8 boxes full of kids and our clothes to a group at work that was having a yard sale to raise money for their March of Dimes team. Otherwise I have a yard sale, and give whatever doesn't sell to goodwill or the outreach programs.

I sell some for 10 cents a piece at my garage sale. Alot of folks have to shop for school clothes that way and it is kind of like a local donation and is way cheaper than a thrift store.

I donate the rest.

DS's are all in tubs in the attic waiting for #2. I'm hoping for a girl once we know for sure I'll save the gender nuetral stuff and sell or give away the rest. If I knew someone who needed them I would give them away. I'll only sell the really gently worn name brands that I know I can get a fair price out of. The rest will go to goodwill.

I give my daughter's clothes to a struggling family whose children play baseball with mine. The mother always tears up and says she could never afford these clothes for Amber. I also give her all of my daughter's toys and girlie things.

I give my youngest son's clothes to a church family that had a son exactly one year after mine was born. I figure he can wear them. They have 2 daughters and she appreciates the clothes for her son.

I got fed up with yard sales and consignment shops. Now, I don't worry if my children soil their clothes because I know that I'm not going to resale them.

Mine too are in storage for the next child we have. If I have a boy, then I will donate them.

I used to take some of the nice ones to a consignment shop when the kids were little. Now, I either give them to someone I know who needs them (both my kids wear slims, so it's harder to find someone who can wear them), or give them to charity. The ones that have stains, etc. I throw away. Our trash dump has an area for clothing, which then gets recycled somehow.

I either give them to co-workers, or donate them to Goodwill. I could make a few $ off selling them at yardsales but I just don't want to put forth the effort.

I save all of the nice stuff (or stuff with sentimental value) in hopes that I will have another DD to give them to. If not, they will be donated. Anything stained gets thrown away. Anything that I have no attachment to gets donated imediately after seasonal use.

Erin :D

Church's care closet. Then anyone who needs them can go there and pick up what they need.

Usually goodwill, but I have had a few yard sales. Children's clothes sell very well at yard sales, at least in this area. I was also surpirsed to find out my clothes sold well, I was prepared to bag them up and take them to the women's shelter, but they sold like hotcakes.

In any case, I do think if at all possible, its always nice to donate to someone less fortunate. :) I try to gather up stuff for a semi annual pick up regardless of whether or not I've had a yardsale that year.
