What do YOU do with vinegar??

rust stains on clothes...pour full strength white vinegar, let it set, wash in cold water(don't dry) and repeat. Usually takes 3 treatments, but works like a charm!

I put white vinegar in a bowl with beets and let them sit in the fridge. It makes a tasty pickled beet dish Although my grandmother yells at me everytime she sees me eating those...."Teresa...white vinegar is for cleaning ONLY!! If you are going to use vinegar in your food use apple cider vineger!!!"

I use ordinary vinegar for fish and chips. If I feel sick I will take a teaspoon of it and drink it occasionally.

Floors, windows, clean coffee maker, laundry with the big plain label jug.

For salads and food I do buy a better quality vinegar.

Based on a thread on the BB I use it to get rid of ants. Trust me I am not into old wives tales but it really works. Anywhere where they were that I wiped down with it they never came back. Sure beats nasty old raid.

I have a question, are you using white vinefar or apple cider vinegar for this? I think I can get past the burn if it's going to help... my Rx is a long term one, but I still get flare ups sometimes even with it. Anything for relief at those flare up times.

I also have GERD and have taken a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for relief. I've read that you need to take the apple cider vinegar that is not processed (it has stuff floating in it?), but I just took some store brand apple cider vinegar that I use on salads and it worked for me. It gave me temporary relief.
