Another sleepless night. I can't sleep. Any suggestions?

I have tried reading, watching tv and counting disney rides. I got tired of tossing and turning so I came down to try the computer for a while.

Just lay in bed and close your eyes and listen to the TV....got the golf channel??:jester:

i lie in bed and empty my mind...that works pretty easily :teeth:

i also picture myself being tired and falling asleep, that works really well! i pretty much pass out after that!

Sorry to hear you're having problems with insomnia Zoe. . :(

I have chronic insomnia so I'm pretty used to it and have learned to live with it. . . but for those times I really feel like I need to sleep and know I'll have trouble, I will take a swig or two of the old NyQuil. . . I know I kid around about it a lot, but it really will zonk you out. . . :) :)

I've had a really bad time with Tylenol PM. I find that even if I only take one pill it doesn't help me get to sleep, but when I finally do get to sleep it is then impossible to wake up. No fun going to work feeling drugged. Usually when I'm having trouble sleeping I pick up a book that I've read a few times (just to make sure I don't get hooked on the plot) and I drift off with the book in my lap.

i agree with Goofymom23, Tylenol PM is the only way to go. I just take one so I am not to drowsy the following morning. :D
