what do you do waiting in line...

I'm what you would call a "people watcher". I like to watch other people and eavsdrop on their conversations. I've heard some interesting conversations in those waiting lines.

Sam just called off the engagement!

-family flips out-

Fiance: HURRY UP, THIS LINES TAKING FOREVER, IM GOING TO NEED SOME DISNEY MAGIC

But yeah. I love eavesdropping. VERY interesting.. >.>

I take a hidden mickey book, and I kind of skim that, and I just talk to the group of people I'm with.

I usually try to strike up a conversation with people near me in line. It's always interesting to hear what people say about how many times they've been to Disneyland/World, how they got there, etc. I find it a great way to pass the time in a long line.

Try to pick out the Europeans in line.
People Watch in general.
Talk to people.
Usually they have a little display or something before you get on so I look at that.

I carry on conversations with other people I don't know.

And, of course, flirt with any cute guys that are close by. =]

i do that too, i go with my aunt and uncle and we know that people people watch so sometimes we'll have a really stupid convo on purpose to give them something to listen to. one time we had a "discussion" about whole wheat bread vs. white bread, everyone kept giving us really weird looks:lmao:

lol!:rotfl: that's funny. i should try that sometime! i usually just look at the ground..or something, or talk to my family.

I look for Hidden Mickeys. if you dont know what they are, HMs are Mickey Mouses hidden all over every Walt Disney World park. They are really fun to look for and they pass the time. before you go back to Disney, go to your nearest book store and see if they a book on Hidden Mickeys. I have one and the book has a contest to see who wins the most points looking for them. Like I said, its really fun and passes time quickly.

I talk with family or people around me. I once got into an hour conversation with a woman and her husband (about 55 years old) wating for HM about my camera. On that same note, I've been known to stand in a line for 30 minutes and do absolutly nothing else but take pictures of EVERYTHING. I, too, people watch. But most importantly, we (well, mostly I) look for HIDDEN MICKEYS! We also like to look for what I like to call "hidden wedgies". In this situation, we spot such crack intruders on people who have not noticed them at all (hence, hidden).

People watching is always fun. I like to strike up conversations with people around me, and they usually don't mind because they're bored too. I'm pretty patient about ride lines...

But the Hidden Mickey book sounds like a good way to pass time!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, we weren't waiting in line this time, but in the pool at OKW about five years ago, my parents were talking to another family. During the entire conversation I could here my parents say how they were from New Jersey (I live in Chicago. ) and this family believed every word they were saying. Me and my siblings were just cracking up so hard in the background. :teeth:

haha, im from New Jersey, i wonder if i could've told that you were making it up....:rotfl:

I mainly just stand there and watch people! Its funny what you might see!!:rotfl:

Lol! Ya I just meet the poeple around me, start up conversation. And then if that doesn't work I stare at the ceiling deciding if the ride is worth it or not :P

people watch and listen in on conversations.
strike up conversations with strangers.
talk to my family.
text people.
play tetris on my phone.

i usually have to wait anywhere between 30minutes to 2hours for some rides bc i go to WDW in july
I've never had to wait in line longer than 45 minutes before and I've gone in July many times. We get fastpasses for everything. :teeth:
I usually people watch, eavesdrop in their conversations, take pictures of me and the other people who came down with me. Although they usually don't notice.

maybe not two hours, lol, but there's certain rides my whole family doesnt go on so we wont get the fastpass for those and they include like space mountain so no fastpass for us..the lines can get veryyy long though, especially in the sm queue bc everything looks the same after a while lol
