just wondering what everyone does while waiting in line for rides?

i usually have to wait anywhere between 30minutes to 2hours for some rides bc i go to WDW in july
i pack some thread in my bag and pull it out when im waiting and make some bracelets
when i get bored of that i usually listen really carefully to the anouncements from the loudspeaker in the queue lines so when the play again, i can recite them:rotfl: my favorite is memorizing the ones in the different languages and reciting them :lmao:

so what do you guys do?

I'm what you would call a "people watcher". I like to watch other people and eavsdrop on their conversations. I've heard some interesting conversations in those waiting lines.

I go in July every year, the lines are never too bad. The longest I've ever waited was 1 hour when Test Track opened, and 30 minutes for Expedition Everest. So, I guess I just look around or talk with people.

::yes::

So do I. I just stand there and take it all in... :D
I just look around at the same things over and over....and after the conversation starts to get boring...I get bored. XD

I usually carry around a little notbook or some paper to doodle with, but since the lines are never very long when we go so I hardly have a chance to use them.

i do that too, i go with my aunt and uncle and we know that people people watch so sometimes we'll have a really stupid convo on purpose to give them something to listen to. one time we had a "discussion" about whole wheat bread vs. white bread, everyone kept giving us really weird looks:lmao:

I usually talk to my mom or someone in my family. There's alway's an interesting convo between all of us. lol

Well, we weren't waiting in line this time, but in the pool at OKW about five years ago, my parents were talking to another family. During the entire conversation I could here my parents say how they were from New Jersey (I live in Chicago. ) and this family believed every word they were saying. Me and my siblings were just cracking up so hard in the background. :teeth:

I usually just talk to my parents, or "people watch". I find it so interesting to just observe what other people are doing when they think no one is watching them. Just the look on their face or something. I also like to just stand there and take in the surroundings.

My mom and I always find it fun to listen to other people's conversations....and then if they ask a question we'll answer it....sometimes they hear, sometimes they don't....makes for some fun...

I also tend to dance around in line....sing songs....do whatev...

sometimes when I'm in the fastpass line and there's no wait, while theres a super long line in the regular entrance, I'll say stuff like " this line is too slow" or " I'm gunna get tired going this fast". Every once and a while someone will swear at me.:rotfl:

Hahahah thats great!:lmao:

I people watch. It's so fun! Sometimes on rides I don't like to go on, I sit there with my Grandma and we just watch people go by! It's great.

It's almost like we're related or something, my dad and I both do that!

Hahaha i'm so gonna start watching people and listen in on conversations.
In lines I usually just sit there looking at the ground or something.
Usually tho I don't have to wait in long lines.

Oh I always listened to conversations but I've never had a silly one on purpose, but I love the way you think! Haha. It's just fun. I've actually never had to stand in really long lines. The most was probably at Space Mountain but that's fun to stand in because of all the planets and stuff they still interest me  LOL I'm weird. But I do the memorizing lines too. I went on Rockin' Rollar Coaster twice and new every word of the Pre-Show thing. "A Super Stretch" ;)

i've never waited in a line longer then 40 mins (i think the longest was Expederest)

usually i just chat to my family. I do like to look around and take in the scenery, especially in Space Mountain where those 3-d type images really fascinate (sp?) me.

oo also on Space Mountain, i make sure i stare at the lights because i remember reading that if you look at the lights befre riding then your can see the track (don't know how it works but it does)

My husband and I watch people. And try to figure out what country they are from.

I never usually wait in lines for very long, but when i do me and my dad play this game. It is when you look @ the people and if you find somebody that looks like someone you know, you have to show the other person them and they can award points if it looks like them. But if you dont know the person no points. Once i found someone who looked just like me, it was SO scary same clothes same name and everything!
