What do you do once everything is planned?

So were almost at the 30 day mark for our Disney world trip.

Everything is planned. Flights are booked, ADRs made, park reservations, the works. I even ordered new ears off of Etsy.

Now I’m like weirdly anxious and second guessing all my ADRs despite telling myself I can cancel them once I tell the kids about the trip and can get their input. I think it’s worse this time as I have been planning this trip since 2019 and it keeps getting pushed back.

We travel often so I don’t even think I need to make packing lists.

What do you do when counting down the days to a trip?

Make a countdown calendar. (We do a massive paper chain.)
I set aside a space in my house and start collecting stuff we need for the trip as I come across it. Like portable fans, ears, stuff we don't use in our day to say life.
I like planning our outfits so I will begin putting together ideas for that. Sometimes write it down so I don't forget which Disney themed clothes I want to pack.

I don't really plan so there is that. Right now I have a trip booked for the last week in Aug. I've changed my resort twice already. I have booked park reservations and that's it. No ADRs, no plans to use Genie+, I'll pack around 8pm the night before. I did order 2 new bathing suits. About 2 days before I'll double check my toiletries bag which stays packed at all times to see if I need something. Other than that, I read the boards and watch Utube. In all fairness though, I go often. This will be my 5th trip since April 2021.

I don’t really plan either. Just the park reservations because it’s necessary. We usually only do 1 ADR the whole week. I don’t like to be tied down to a schedule. No plans of using Genie+ either. We prefer to just relax. Enjoy the pool. We’ve been enough times that it’s not about the rides anymore. We just enjoy being in the bubble. We ride what we can, and don’t stress about what we can’t do. I hate packing so don’t usually start until the day before. Leading up I still like to look over menus just in case we want to make a change and to get ideas of what quick service places we’d like to go to. I also watch Disney vlogs on YouTube. I actually do that all the time. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

I have a countdown calendar that my sister made for me, and I enjoy changing the number every day. I do keep a packing list next to me here on my desk, and as something occurs to me I write it down. Once there's nothing left to do, I try to chill out. I'm almost at that point; all I have left is to make the one dinner reservation we're hoping for. My trip anxiety this time is coming mostly from flying-I'm petrified our flight will be cancelled.

This will be majorly disappointing but since we don't go to the parks any longer, nothing really till a couple of days before. But since you asked, we pre-make a bunch of meals and freeze them, and obviously put them in the RV freezer. Snacks, drinks and and whatever. We keep clothes and most OTC meds already stocked and packed so nothing really there. Night before we put daily meds in. Morning of we pick up the trailer, load the golf cart and hit the road.
Thirty minutes later we're pulling into the Fort.
I warned it would be boring....

Hah boring is good! One of these days we need to try fort wilderness. We just stayed at poly first and love it so much.

Not Disney, but I have a trip planned for Arizona. We're leaving in a month also. It is a bit hard once all the planning is done... All I do is second guess everything. lol.
I already booked our flights, rental homes, and the couple excursions. I also bought a couple things we will need from Amazon and had them delivered to DS's house in Phoenix (a large cooler, some hydration packs, etc).
Nothing left to do but wait... and hope our flights don't get canceled. That's been a huge stressor, they've already changed multiple times.
Enjoy your trip!
