We’ll be in WDW for 14 nights in Oct / Nov (staying at SSR) with DDP. Currently thinking either eat at a signature and linger over dinner, or eat earlier and head back in to MK to watch the fireworks - potentially with preferred viewing. (It’ll be a Saturday night, and if things follow the same pattern as last year then MK will be ‘not recommended’ by easywdw due to there being MNSSHP on preceeding nights, but longer operating hours that night pulling in big crowds)

Would love to know any traditions or recommendations you have......

Thanks

We're doing a split stay, two weeks in WDW and then a week in a villa to relax and shop... Our last day in WDW, I would love to spend the day in MK, but it's not recommended by easywdw :confused3

During the day, as MK isn't recommended, we are hoping to do a Water Park, but I'm very tempted to just do MK in the morning, come back to the pool for the afternoon and then go back to MK that night for dinner.

That night, we're planning on having dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table and then Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party for the fireworks.

Seems a shame to not do MK on your last day!

we always go into MK for the Fireworks (I cry!) on our last evening. Last year it was EMH and we stayed out until the very last min and loved it..:)

Yes, I'm thinking that as we won't have an agenda of rides to cram in then it won't matter so much that its not recommended, and we can enjoy the atmosphere of the later opening (although won't be emh unfortunately).

LOL. We check out of SSR that morning and will be staying somewhere else that night - so the packing will have had to be done already :lmao:

For several years - almost 10 - on our last night we always go to the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Before we go, usually run the wash and do preliminary packing. After dinner we walk around awhile and then if we need to still pick up any souvenirs, go to DTD.

The next morning we also have a tradition to go to the Kona Cafe at the Poly and eat b'fast (already checked out and drive to Poly). While waiting for our food, we each take turns going into a gift shop there in case there is anything else or if we just want to look around. This helps so that once we are done eating, we hit the road back to SC.

I don't think we have created any last night traditions as such, i tend to start throwing the clothes and stuff in to the cases, while dh and the kids go in the pool.
Food wise we tend to go to Chilis and then onto Krispy Kreme.

I hate the last night it's always so depressing!

my initial thought was cry also!:sad1:

we're easily pleased and like the food court at por,so eat there, then head off to say goodbye to mk.:)

This year we are planning to do breakfast at Chef Mickeys on our second to last full day followed by the morning spent in MK enjoying some rides. Afterwards we will go shopping which is a second last day tradition for us.
On our last full day we will get up late, pack and have a nice dinner at home (we usually stay in a villa) Then we will head to MK and catch the fireworks one last time. I will cry and keep looking back at the Castle watching the colours change until we reach the TTC on the ferry :( Its around this time I mention booking our next trip lol! Disney withdrawals SUCK! Only 100 days from tomorrow! :goodvibes

Seems like MK is a popular choice.

Rechecked MK hours for last year and the corresponding Saturday night hours were extended til midnight - hoping for the same thing in 2013, would be very cool to stay until the end!

MK, Wishes, ride the 3 mountains, stroll down Main Street as late as possible and watch the "kiss goodnight", get teary leaving the park!

Flag ceremony on Main Street. Some rides but to include Philharmagic and Splash Mountain. Ferry back to TTC. Wishes from Ferry terminal. Back to Villa. Sulk!

Last year was my first ever time at WDW - on our last evening we went to MK wishes dessert party then stayed until it closed at about midnight - we went on splash mountain while the electric light parade was on and could see it all lit up just be for we went over the drop which was great! We'd already seen all the parades/fireworks so went on lots of rides with short queues, the day after we left about 3pm but didnt want to go back to a park because we'd left it on such a high- so we went to DTD and shopped.

This year we're hoping to go to MNSSHP on our last night :)

It's MK and Wishes for us - we'll then stay as late as possible, just sitting in front of the castle/strolling along Main St. taking photos etc. until we get asked to leave by security! :rotfl:

This year, we're going to be spending the whole last day/night at MK starting with breakfast at CRT. We're going to nip over for tea at the Grand Floridian late afternoon, before returning back to MK!

MK has to be the first and last day for us! :)

Last time we went to MK for wishes then Epcot had EMH till 1am so we went there and re did our favorites.

This time we plan to just finish in MK with fireworks.

Like others I cry and hate leaving and feel like holding on to the street lights until DH can pull me off.

We go to Cali grill for dinner and watch wishes from there. I cry and DH looks embarrassed :)

We went to Epcot to see the fireworks! We stood on the bridge between England and France and drank hot chocolate! It was great xx

MK for Wishes and a last meal at either Yachtsman, Narcoossee's or Cali Grill.
