What do you do on your first night

we land at about 3pm and after reaching the villa and having a nosey, we'll head out to walmart for some supplies!
then heading out to the old town in Kissimmee for the car cruise DH and DD are obsessed and just so happens that the night we arrive is the 18th anniversary of the car cruise so they have GOT to go!!!:lmao:

Well Guys after reading all your kind replies to my initial Post Dh and I have decided to play it by ear, but will definately venture out this time after checking in.

Maybe DTD and grab a sandwich from the "Earl" or maybe just a wander round Walmart and then Dinner somewhere off the cuff.

Thanks you guys:disrocks:

we drive to the villa (trying to avoid arguing where it is lol)

then if my parents are with us, me and mum leave the men at the villa and we go to walmart to stock up (I drive over there), then its unpack and pool!

It has to be Epcot for me for Illuminations with a fish and chips carry out eaten on a bench in the garden behind UK.

arrive at hotel, unpack, and go for a walk / beer / meal, and bed fairly early. We usually do a waterpark next day so we can recover from the jetlag, as well as a little exercise to help sleep!!

Usually we arrive at the hotel, unpack a bit and settle in, go for a quick swim and then go out for an early dinner. Arrive back at the hotel, shattered and fall asleep!

When we have stayed at POR its the boat ride to DTD to check out Ghirradellis, 2 years ago when we stayed at the Dolphin it was a stroll around the boardwalk to enjoy whatever the latest brew was on offer at BRG. :drinking1 This year we are staying at AKL first, so it might just be a few drinks on our verandah watching the animals on the savannah. :cool1:

We check in, go for a swim in Stormalong Bay, order room service, then go to Epcot to watch Illuminations.

As we are first timers, and staying at the dolphin, are flight lands at 3:45 so hopefully we will get to the hotel by 6! unpack and then take a stroll to dolphin front desk and collect tickets etc! we are the going to try and walk down to epcot for 8. grab some food and watch illuminations then bed by 10!

you think this idea is possible?

No problem, we stayed at beach club last year and arrived round about 6pm with baby(11mths),DH, DS(15) showered, unpacked had dinner at ESPN Club watched fireworks then bed, perfect first evening !
Staying at SSR in Sept wll do same shower, unpack, dinner at WGP @ DTD then back to apartment for much needed sleep ready for MK next day.

We normally unpack have a wander around and try and stay up till 10. We did once go to Epcot as it was EMH and rode Soarin but only did it once as we were both completely shattered. Last time we went to Epcot and collected out AP and DDE tickets and then went back to the resort.

After we unpack, we get a bite to eat followed by a walk around the resort. We always say that we'll try and stay up till 10.00. But it never happens, usually in bed for 8.30, totally exhausted. Oh well, least we're at the front of the line for park opening.

Heh - yes always meaning to do something but always we just check-in, shower and then order room service.

usually in bed by 9pm and up at 4.30am !! ::yes::

we never plan anything specific, last year after flight getting delayed, lines at immigraton we didnt get to the resort till nearly 11pm, all we could do was go to sleep and the boys still woke up at 4am:faint:

Hopefully we wont have the same delays this year and will get to check in in daylight then we will probably stop at a publix for supplies and then drop into dtd to pick up ap's and grab a bite to eat.

Our 1st night plans have changed for August 1st.
Now bed as soon as we can. Just arranged to meet some American friends near Savannah, Georgia (301 mi – about 4 hours 49 mins) on the 2nd. Earlier we get up the better now. They live in North Carolina so meeting around half way.

In the past me & DS go to MGM as soon as we have checked in while DW & DD unpack but this year as it is our first time staying at CBR and only me & DW going, we are going to have a good look around the resort and have dinner at Shutters.

I think this year we will either get the boat to MK and watch Spectro @ 8pm or maybe just drive to Bahama Breeze for a very, very late tea.

I always struggle to eat on the first night knowing its some unearthly time in the UK.
