what do you do on your birthday?

MIL bought one when we were there and I told him Id like one too

I think I may take myself to the Disney Store and after shop the mall! I have the day off this yr as its on a Sat

Since DS has been born, we usually send him to grandma's for the weekend, and enjoy some quiet time at home, go to dinner and catch a movie. My mom always takes me out shopping at some point for my b-day.

This year, DS went to grandma's for a night, DH and I went to dinner (no movie), and then all of us (me, DH, DS, mom, and DS's godparents) spent the day at the aquarium. It was great!

Most of all, I try to do as little as possible and eat lots of cake.

Work mainly. This year, my birthday is on Saturday, so, I am on call that weekend, just like the last time my birthday was on Saturday.

In our family we don't do surprises, so the person with the birthday is the one who decides. Usually we go out to dinner and then plan an outing (like going to a play, going to the beach, etc.) on a convenient day or weekend near the birthday. The kids get to choose an outing or a friend party.

My birthday is in two weeks. My family gets out of the outing this year since dh has been really busy at work and two of my girlfriends are taking me to Seattle to go to the Cheesecake Factory. DH and the boys will get me a gift and take me out to dinner locally.

If I am home that day, I will skip chores etc. and just relax.

Just had a birthday earlier this month, Oct. 5. I always take my birthday off from work. I usually get myself a manicure and pedicure and I usually buy myself a nice birthday present. This year I bought myself an I-pod. I usually go out to eat at a restaurant of my choosing as well.

I don't do anything for my birthday. It's just one more day. The only difference is that I have cake and pizza.

It seems like my birthday always falls on a basketball night. We celebrate usually by eating cake my DH and boys make and then head off to the game.

On my 56th birthday, I will be enjoying the repositioning cruise from Anaheim to Orlando. Can't wait.

On my 55th birthday I was taken to a nice steakhouse by my DH and found flowers waiting from my son, at the table. It was really fun

This past year SO surprised me with a nice picnic BBQ at this scenic little park on the Intracoastal, just the two of us. After that we drove down the coast a bit stopping at interesting little shops on the beach I never have the time to go in. It was a weekday that we were both fortunate enough to get off, but we did have to work the next morning. We stopped at Pizza Hut on the way back home for something quick and I came home to a yummy Ice Cream cake he had bought for me and opened my present.

On his birthday we both had to work. He met me at my work and we went to Outback for dinner. Then we drove to the mall and browsed around for a few minutes until the movie time started. We saw the movie Cellular. Came home and had cake and he opened his presents. As this was his 30th birthday I had planned a surprise party for the following Saturday with his friends and family. Unfortunately hurricane Jeanne effectively cut that plan out. It was going to be a nice party too! I had a luau theme going on. The party decorations were doubling as a gift too because we are remodelling our house and SO wants the back patio to turn into a sort of Tiki Bar atmosphere. With all the hurricane stuff we had to deal with I didn't have it in me to reschedule the party (nor is it the same to have a surprise party weeks after your birthday) so I just told SO about it and showed him all the stuff I had gotten him for the party. He was completely surprised and had no idea I had managed to put it all together.
